The last product I reviewed here at dooyoo was Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids soap, in which I described it as a delicious-smelling, but somewhat overpriced luxury item (that's the review in a nutshell). So it may seem somewhat surprising that I went back to Lush to make additional purchases. Well, the explanation is that it was my birthday recently and some friends treated me to a voucher to the always heavenly-smelling Lush store. Since the weather is getting colder I have noticed that the skin on my hands has been suffering a bit. Add to that that I tend to get quite a lot of hangnails (which I then cannot resist pulling, leading to blood and carnage), and ... Read the complete review

I moisturise my skin every day but sometimes my moisturisers don't go far enough to tackle my tricky dry spots such as my knees and elbows. I also always have trouble growing my nails without them snapping or becoming weak and I often wonder if it's because mu cuticles are unhealthy. Lemony flutter by Lush seemed to be the answer to all these problems! What does the product do? The product is described as being a super thick butter which should help you to moisturise the driest areas of your skin. The product contains Shea butter which deeply hydrates the skin leaving it soft and supple. It also contains beeswax which forms a barrier which prevents the ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of Lush, not only do they make lovely products but they are also ethical. They don't use ingredients that have been tested on animals nor do they test their products on animals, all of their products are vegetarian and many are vegan. I do think that they tend to use unnecessary ingredients in some of their products which they could and should stop using. They use so many lovely ingredients and it's a shame to see things like parabens and synthetic perfumes. Apart from making and selling ethical products, they also donate money to charities and highlight serious issues on their website. Some of the important issues they raise are quite controversial which Read the complete review

I was sent this as a sample and loved it so much that I bought a pot of it. This is Lemony Flutter, a very rich moisturising cream in the typical black screw top Lush pot. This is a small pot containing just 50g, which when you look at the price does seem a bit steep. However the quality of the product is good and a little goes a long way. If you look at the history of Lush's prices, they seem to have been rising very quickly over the last few years, which makes their products a luxury to buy and use. I would like to see Lush introduce a range of "basics" that are a fair price, and also for them to remove the darn parabens. Then I would consider myself to be a . Read the complete review

I wreck havoc on my fingers and nails. When i'm stressed (usually around exam time), i chew my nails down to nothing, and when that's done i chew the skin around my nail bed. They tend to look a state. After this bout of exams finished, i went back on the hunt i'm always on, for the perfect hand and nail cream. Lush sell the lemony flutter cuticle butter for £5.95 for 50g of product. It is sold in typical lush style, a basic black pot, with a few sticky labels telling you what the product is for, what in it etc. Its the perfect pot. It completely ties in with the whole lush economic ecosystem agenda, and also, looks rather sleek on my dressing table with all ... Read the complete review
