A nail file is something I always carry in my bag just in case of any broken nails at the wrong time. These can be annoying and if not caught straight away can often pull off more of the nail than you want so I always carry one. I find the more hardened style nail files are much more practical than the cardboard style ones as these ones you can use forever whereas the other ones you have to get rid of pretty much after a few uses so I think its a much better economy. 

This nail file I have had for a while now and what I love about it is that you can just wash it under warm water to remove any remnants of nail filings that you might have on it and it is basically as good as new and you can use it over and over again. You can also make sure its well disinfected by using a bit of soap on it so to make sure you don't get any nail infections.

The nail file is actually made of a hardened glass and so is very tough and excellent at filing nails as it is so hard. I like that it is not flimsy and is a hard nail file. The file has a gentle abrasive surface which is permanently etched into the hardened glass so you always have an edge in which to file your nails against unlike a cardboard nail file which wears out after w short while and wears done with excessive use. The nail file is quite long and fairly thin and it has a really sharp point at the end of it, too sharp sometimes in fact as I often stab myself with it but it doesn't really hurt. The nice thing is that they come with a storage case so I definitely recommend putting your nail file in this before you put it in your bag otherwise you could nick yourself from time to time. 

t find these nail files are so much better at getting into the side parts of your nails that are always tricky to get to. Apparently the special crystal file material will prevent your nails from chipping and splitting and I have to say that my nails never suffer from any of these problems when I am filing them, even if they are a little bit weak like they sometimes get. I get a really nice smooth edge with this nail file and no little hanging bits either which is good. I can shape my nail nicely and they always look nice afterwards. 

The nail file is expensive, if I remember rightly it was in the £12 region but seeing as you never have to buy another one again I think its quite a good beauty buy.
