I first saw the idea of foils on QVC and bought a set of 2 for £10, expensive yes but they really worked and I loved them. Seeing these I had to buy them, they cost £19.99 and came with a set of 10 foils in beautiful colours. My favourite one was a very delicate pink flower, with green/blue accents, I used to do a French manicure, then put this over the pink area of the nail, looked so pretty. I tried this with the Rio set only to be quite disappointed. The idea is to use the glue on the areas of your nail where you want the foils to go, wait for the glue to go a bit tacky then, smooth over the foil, and peel off. I was really looking forward to expanding my homemade nail art options with this kit, which is quite a cheap starting point to home foiling designs. However, try as I might I jsut cannot get the rotten foils to stay! The premise is simple enough. Apply glue provided to whole nail or just area wanted for design transfer. Then, once the glue has settled into tackiness rather than wetness, the foil can be applied and rubbed onto the glue surface, which will then hold the foiled design once you peel back the backing sheet. I bought this product for my daughter as a gift. In theory I thought this was an ideal gift for a teenage girly girl who loves pretty nails. However the foil was awkward to use and the foil definately did not come off as easy as shown on the dvd. Infact after a few attempts we have now given up on using it. At around £20 it was quite expensive and very disappointing! I would not recommend this product to others. It is a great idea if it worked properly.
