Advantages: does the job perfectly, lasts for ages

Disadvantages: none

I got this polish remover literally years ago (2-3 years perhaps) - I don't have my nails painted all the time so I'm not using it extremely often, perhaps twice or three-times a month, and still have about half a bottle left.

Sally Hansen strengthening nail polish remover comes in a clear plastic 200ml bottle with screw-on cap, through which pink liquid can be seen. It has simple stickers on front and back with all the basic information - especially that it is suited for soft, thin nails, contains B5 pro-vitamin, vitamin E and hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (latter is probably supposed to do the strengthening).

The neck of the bottle is quite wide so it's easy to apply on cotton wool tampon, however easy to spill, too. It removes nail polish easily and effectively, as long as you're not trying to use same piece of cotton wool for all your nails it won't smudge the dark-colour nail polish on your fingers leaving them in horrible state.

The smell is surprisingly ok for nail polish remover - it has somewhat flowery scent that overtakes the chemical (acetone) smell after few seconds. Over the few years I had this, I managed to leave the bottle open few times, discovering much, much later, so the chemical smell pretty much aired off, too. In past, when this happened, I could normally pour the remover down the sink as it would no longer work. However, this miracle still works just fine!

I rather skip reviewing on strengthening part, as I don't use it as often as I should for this effect to work I think. It however doesn't have the opposite effect as most nail polish removers do - it doesn't leave your nails feeling thin and unhealthy.

At £2.45 in any high street drug store, this is a must have that literally doesn't affect my purse at all, does the job as required every time, and is as hassle-free as a polish remover can be. 5 out of 5 without doubt!
