This Shiseido sponge is pink and circular in shape and is made to apply foundation or other make up. I was actually given this sponge by a friend who had a few make up sponges so I didn't have to pay for it. You can pay up to £6 for this sponge from House of Fraser but you can get it cheaper online.
To use I will dab my foundation onto my face and then use the sponge to gently rub it around my face, making sure that I take it right up to my hair line and down to my neck, as there is nothing worth than a 'tide line' if you don't blend it in well. I find that my foundation looks much more professional when I use this sponge and it seems to go on very evenly and also stays on my face longer.
When I have finished it just needs a quick rinse if I do it straight away and I leave it on the bathroom shelf to dry out which doesn't take long at all. Although I dont use this every day I have used it quite often and it hasn't become discoloured and is still a nice pink colour. I have also used the sponge to apply toner and other face creams as it is lovely to use especially if I have rinsed it in warm water prior to us and it reminds me of when you have a facial as they usually use warm sponges. I find that with using this sponge I am happy that all of my face has been covered as you are using a much larger area than when you use your fingers.
If you have never used a facial sponge then this is a great one to try and I definitely recommend it. I find it makes putting on foundation far less messy and you don't get it all over your fingers if you are careful. It may take a bit of getting used to if you haven't used one before but I think it is really worth the effort.
