Advantages: Easy to use, works great, many settings
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive, gel pads lose adhesive quickly
I had my reservations about such a device like the slendertone as i have been told in the past that they do not work for everyone.
This was soon changed quickly when my friend bought one and said that it was brilliant. This made me go out and buy one of which i was definately not disappointed! The device is extremely simple to use, with a heart monitor and different settings for more intensities. A simple up and down arrow is utilised for increasing the intensity which you can then find a suitable and comfortable setting for the user.
The feeling at first is rather strange, something which can only be described as a slight vibration at the lower intensities until it increases to around 30 which is when you can feel it more as it contracts your abdominal muscles which is easily gotten used to after a few tries.
The greatest thing about this is that as there are 3 settings, one setting for a sit and tone, walk and tone and jog and tone, these settings work in different ways to tone your muscles properly. The system also works very well as i noticed a considerable change within the first week of using it. Results may vary for more fat deposits around the abdominal area as the electrical impulses have more resistance to travel throught to contract the muscles.
One downfall of the product is that the gel pads that are used to contact the skin and let the currenty flow is that they lose adhesiveness quickly if not covered and kept clean.
All in all a great product which can be hidden under clothes as you do your shopping or merely walking to the park. Works perfectly and is easily used.
