I am usually a big fan of Stila products and own rather a lot of them that I have found in a lot of local discount stores over the past few months. I spotted this the other day on a market stall locally selling cosmetics and knowing that this particular brush is an expensive one bought it for a bargainous price of £3.00. You can only imagine how shocked I was when I was looking online to see how much this would usually cost me as your looking at about £28.00 for his one! Yes you read that right. I personally wouldn't buy any brush for that price unless it was to use on others professionally (I am a Beauty Therapist) so was pleased with this for a mere three quid!
The Brush Itself:
Well as you would expect for the money this brush usually costs this is a very nice brush indeed. It measures 4 x 5 x 6 inches and weighs 0.2 ounces which makes it very lightweight and easy to use brush. The brush is simple matt black in colour with a slightly domed shaped bristle head. Those bristles are really soft and there's plenty of them secured into the long handle with a sturdy, shiny section that secures the bristles into the handle and down the brush handle we are told in silver lettering that it is Stilla Brush.
Now what makes this special is that the bristles on this are made from black goat hair which is the goats natural colour. That must be what your paying for! Like I stated earlier they are soft and flexible though not all that long which is perfect for applying blusher with in my opinion.
This is the longest handled blusher brush I own which at first concerned me that I wouldn't get any control over it however that couldn't be further for the truth...I have complete control of direction.
Powders cling to this with ease and I am able to blend with this beautifully. The handle isn't too thick making it again nice to hold and being matt my finished my hands slip don't where they shouldn't when I am using it. To clean this is simple as well I just rinse it off with a bit of baby shampoo or something and allow it to dry naturally. It needs no special care at all and even though I have washed mine often I've had no problems at all.
This would get a 5 out of 5 from me as I think it is the perfect tool but pay £28.00 for it?...not a chance I'd rather buy a new dress and do own lots of other blusher brushes which are as good as this that are a fraction of this price however if you like your poshy brands and have the money to throw at this fair play, go ahead it's a good un!
