When it comes to make up brushes I simply own loads of them. As a trained beauty therapist I believe in the right tools for the job and have a massive collection but never do I spend a couple of quid on anything and this was no different.
With a usual price tag of about £18.00 sold on feelunique.com I was surprised when I spotted this on a local cosmetic stall at a market. I like the brand that is Stila and know it to be a premium brand and actually own a few bits of pieces from them and so I happily bought it for the £3.00 price tag it had and actually bought a few other brushes for the same price tag at the same time.
The Brush Itself:
Well of course this is an eyebrow brush. It can be used to smudge in damp eyebrow pencils or dry powder ones which is what I do with mine in the main.
This is number 10 brush in the range, they all have different numbers to them and thats what the number refers to. It measures in length 4 x 5 x 6 inches and weighs a mere 0.3 ounces which means its very lightweight indeed. Its a slim black handled brush this one with Stila Brush written down one side of it in silver writing giving it a smart look then the brush section is encased into the handle via a silver shiny piece of metal an the brush head is small, slanted and made of stiff bristles which are made of taklon and although the bristles are stiff there's plenty of them and they are smooth to the touch.
I find powders to cling to this brilliantly and that I have real control when using the brush. I can colour in and blend easily with it and use the angled section to blend in the main. To clean it and look after it is simple and I simply wash mine with a little baby shampoo and allow it to dry naturally and I do this every week or so to keep it germ and product free.
This is a high quality brush his one, looks nice and is totally functional. I wouldn't pay £18.00 or anything close to that price for this however its worth it if you are used to spending this on make up brushes but at £3.00 I feel I got a bit of a steal. Its great and I use it now ever so often and I can even use this to smudge kohl pencils with if I so desire!
