I own the whole collection of Stila make up brushes as far as I am aware of! I like nice make up tools, probably cos I am a qualified Beauty Therapist and when training I had access to brilliant stuff from great well known brands. I live by the motto of the right tool for the right job and Stila brushes along with Ruby & Millie and Bobby Pin ones are my favourites at the moment.
This under eye concealer brush usually retails at about £12.00 from sites such as Amazon and Feelunique however I am lucky enough not to have paid anywhere near that rrp and I actually bought most of my brushes (I already owned some in my vast collection already) for between £2.50 - £3.00 each and alot of my Stila make up I own I bought in T.J Hughes hugely discounted beofre they closed down as well as loads from the range lately in Poundland! This brush cost me only £2.50 and I knew when I was buying it that I was making a huge saving so was well chuffed!
The Brush Itself:
This brush is long in length (4 x 5 x 6 inches), matt black in colour and slim and very lightweight indeed and in silver lettering on the side of it we are told that it is a Stila Brush, then a long silver coloured metallic metal section holds in the made from sable soft beige coloured bristles. This is not a thick headed brush, is as I have mentioned really soft and flexible but all the bristles stick together nicely and the end is slightly tapered.
This can of course be used with Stila concealers or with any you want to really and this is really simple and nice to use.
First off its appearance is nice and it looks a professional tool. Secondly, well as you would expect it to be for its rrp it is an excellent quality item, easy to rinse clean and no bristles have ever came out of this to the best of my knowledge when in use or being cleaned.
I use this with wet concealers usually. I have little pots and tubes of the stuff though this is a bit small to use to apply a primer with to the eyes and a bit to big to apply a liquid eyeliner with so really this is simply to dab on concealer with. Concealers grab hold on this easily without slipping and/or sliding off it or being absorbed into the bristles and I can blend easily with this onto the area below the eyes easily and I can help to hide discolouration and bags with it!
Its a lovely brush this one and a nice all round size and weight. Worth £12.00? Well if you need this type of tool in your kit yes it certainly is though I wouldn't be happy to have parted with that amount of money for what it is though I don't think its too highly priced for the lovely brush it is but like I say it depends whether you 'need' it or not, me I don't need it as such but do use it and it is a worthy buy for me at £2.50 and like I stated earlier fabulous quality!
