Tesco Value Facial Tissues
Advantages: Cheap, not too bad quality
Disadvantages: Not as soft/strong as other brands
At my work, I only ever buy the Cheap Tesco Value tissues, due to the fact that they are so cheap and good enough for use in the work-place. The tissues cost approximately 68p for a box of tissues which should contain approximately 150 2 ply tissues. The packaging is very simple and is white and red with no fancy pattern or design on it. On the top of the box is a perforated oval shape which you simply tear and lift out which reveals the opening to the tissues. The tissues are white in colour and look reasonably good. It's easy to pull a single tissue out form the box without it getting caught in amongst the other tissues or on the edges of the opening of the box. The tissues do feel a little rougher than other brands such as Kleenex, how-ever for 68p I can't really complain about this as I don't expect too much from them.
I will admit that in the winter when I am suffering from a cold and have to blow my nose a lot, the tissues do make my nose sore from blowing it so much as the tissues aren't very soft and they don't have anything like a protective balm on them. As the tissues are quite thin they also tend to soak up a lot of snot when blowing your nose and I sometimes find that I have to then use another tissue as the first one becomes quite wet. The tissues have also been used to mop up small spillages such as water, admittedly you have to use a lot of tissues if the spillage is quite big, how-ever these are always handy to use if they are nearby. I don't think the size of the actual tissue is as big as other branded tissues; how-ever they are big enough for the needs of me and the work colleagues.
In terms of value I don't think I can really complain about anything as they are really good value and yes you may have to use 2 or even 3 extra tissues when blowing your nose, but what do you expect from Tesco Value tissues. If you have kids, these are great to have around as they often get mucky or sticky fingers and as these are so cheap it doesn't really matter how many you use on them to try and clean them up. The tissues aren't as soft and other brands, how-ever they don't feel like sand-paper when blowing my nose either. The only fault with the tissue is that they do get wet quite quickly, especially when giving your nose a good blow. Overall rating 4 out of 5 stars!
