Tesco Value Facial Tissues
Advantages: The price
Disadvantages: Not the softest tissue available
Tissues are something I always like to keep in the house, not just for when anyone has a cold or hay fever, they are used everyday by me when I put my contact lenses in. I always dry around my eyes with a tissue every morning after popping my lenses in. I used to just grab some loo roll but tissues are much more economical. I also use them when I put my make up on and they are a good stand by if we run out of loo roll. I have recently given Tesco Everyday Value Tissues a try, at just 68p a box they certainly don't break the bank and were worth trying.
Tesco Everyday Value Tissues are sold in a white rectangle shaped box which has little pictures of flowers, butterflies and make up all round the sides in a pretty purple/pink colour. The packaging definitely looks better than the old style value products. The box has the Tesco logo on it in the same colour and also informs the customer that these are Everyday Value Tissues and the box contains 225 2 ply facial tissues. The box also displays the FSC logo and states that the product is made from material from responsible sources.
The box has a perforated oval that easily pushes out to give the opening where you pull the tissues from.
Each tissue measures approximately 7 1/2 inches x 8 inches, the tissues are plain white and have no pattern on them at all. I cant say they are the softest tissues I've ever felt but they are not too bad. I keep the tissues in the bathroom, the new style packaging from the Tesco value range means they look quite attractive to stand out on a shelf.
I've been using the Everyday Value Tissues for sometime now and have found them to be very good. When I first started using them I found rather than just 1 tissue coming out I got several, once this had happened though the tissues started to pull from the box nicely, one at a time. I use them when I put my contacts in every morning and for make up etc. They are perfectly adequate for this type of thing. Although they are reasonably absorbent I'm not sure I would want to use them if I had a really bad cold!
Overall I would recommend the Tesco Everyday Value Tissues, they don't cost too much and are quite good quality. Although not the softest tissues I've used they are alright for make up etc, the tissues are reasonably strong too. I will buy these again.
Summary: A reasonable product that I will use again
