      mini but mighty

I've had this little mini hairbrush from The Body Shop for a couple of years now. I travel quite a lot for both work and pleasure, and the only reason I actually bought this little brush was because I realised whilst wandering round the airport waiting to board my plane that I'd forgotten to pack my hairbrush. A quick look around The Body Shop branch in the airport, and I was now the proud owner of this little mini hairbrush. I'm think that I paid around £3 for it a couple of years ago, a quick look on The Body Shop website tells me that they now retail for £4.

I actually only chose the mini hairbrush for two reasons; primarily because it was the cheapest hairbrush in the shop - as I already did/do own a couple of very expensive hairbrushes that I've bought from the hairdressers, and secondly as it's so small so I figured if it was any good then I'd bring it with me when travelling - I very often travel with carry on luggage only and when I'm travelling with just carry on every little bit of space saved helps!

My mini hairbrush looks exactly the same as the Dooyoo picture above, apart from one small detail; the cushioned part of my mini hairbrush is black not white. It's a little wooden hairbrush that's kind of miniature, it looks like a child's hairbrush actually with its mini brush head and mini handle.

I actually find it easier and very comfortable to just hold the brush in the palm of my hand and brush my hair that way rather than using the small handle. It's actually really easy to grip it that way and it's very comfortable to use and brush through my hair. I only actually use my brush on dry hair as I prefer to use a detangling comb on wet hair.

The little plastic bristles on the brush have the little round plastic bobbles on the ends to ensure that the bristles don't scratch your scalp. Sometimes with cheaper hairbrushes the bobbles come off over time, leaving a sharp point to scratch your scalp - none of the bobbles on my little brush have come come off, and to honest don't look like they ever will. The little bobbles are comfortable against my scalp and have never scratched or irritated it. When I'm brushing my hair the bobbles do have a slight massaging effect on my scalp which is quite nice. The cushioned part of the brush head ensures that you get a gentle rather than a harsh hairbrushing. I bought this mini hairbrush when I had a chin length bob, I've now got slightly longer than shoulder length hair and it's been fine for both lengths.

I've been really impressed with this little brush, it works just as well as my more expensive hairbrushes for literally just brushing my hair - it's certainly not a 'styling' hairbrush if that's what you're after. I always take this for travelling now as it's so small and compact, and to honest more often than not I actually reach for this one first to brush my hair at home as well. There's nothing at all wrong with with my mini hairbrush after a couple of years, and it looks like it will probably last for a couple more too. It's been used and abused and it's still going strong, it's been coated in all sorts of styling products and it hasn't suffered at all. I do just give it a wash in some warm water with a little bit of shampoo once a month to keep it clean. I'd definitely recommend it, it's good quality and it works well, and it's handy for travelling or just popping in your handbag.

      5 stars

I had been looking for a small hair brush for a while to keep in my handbag. I didn't want anything that was very cheap and plastic though as I find that they are not gentle on the hair. Most of the small ones I could find seemed to be bargain ones which were very cheap and plastic. I found this in The Body Shop and thought it would be perfect.

It is lovely looking as it's wooden and very smooth so it's really nice to hold. I thought a small hairbrush may be uncomfortable to hold but this is really nice and smooth so it's perfectly fine.

It is a bit bigger than the other small hair brushes I had seen but it's fine for me, I keep it in my handbag so that I have it at hand all times and it fits fine.

The bristles on the brush are quite firm and I find that this is good as it gets through my hair fine and brushes really well. They are gentle too, the cushion that they sit on is very flexible so when you brush your hair it doesn't dig in, it bounces slightly.

I really like this hairbrush, it is brilliant for something which is half the size of the ones I usually use.

I really rate it and definitely recommend it if you are looking for a practical but small hair brush.

Great quality for a hairbrush that's so small!

I bought this online as it was on offer with 30% off. The usual price of the brush is £3.00.

The brush was a little bit smaller than I thought it would be but it is a perfect size for your handbag. It's great for touch ups on the go and the brush is really strong and sturdy. It has a wooden handle that's easy to hold and easy to grip. The bristles are perfect for all hair types and lengths and the brush massages the scalp as you use it. The brush is also etched with The Body Shop logo on the handle.

The brush is great! I have long hair that falls below my shoulders. This brush is perfect for my hair as it removes knots and tangles without tugging and/ or pulling at your hair. I would go as far as to say that the brush is actually pain free. It helps to detangle the hair whilst brushing the hair back into style. It leaves your hair looking neat, styled and frizz free. The bristles are quite strong and durable. I've had my brush for around six months and I haven't lost any of the bristles.

The brush can be used on wet and dry hair, although I dislike to get my brushes wet. If I do use the brush on wet hair I just make sure that it's thoroughly dry when I have finished with it.

You can wash the brush in warm water with a little soap to clean it.

A decent handbag sized brush from The Body Shop.

        Adorable hair brush

I got this brush a month or so ago when The Body Shop had a 50% sale. The RRP of this brush is £3, but I was lucky enough to get it for £1.50. I do definetly think it is worh the full price as it's such good quality and it's a really effective, practical brush. It's a perfect to keep in my bag, which isn't very big, and carry around for whenever my hair needs neatening up - I have very thick hair which knots up quite easily.

I've found the brush particullary handy in the last few days as it's been quite windy here, and I have to catch the bus to Uni so by the time I get there my hair is a bit wild, which is when this brush comes in handy. It's also ideal for taking to the gym with me and I take it with me whenever I stay over at my boyfriend's house, it fits perfectly into my small makeup bag and takes up barely any room.

It seriously works as good as a large hairbrush and the plastic bristles are very sturdy and a decent length to thoroughly comb my hair rather than just brush it, if that makes sense. It is alot smaller than I expected it to be I admit (i'd estimate 4-5 inches long), but the handle is just about big enough to get a proper grip on and it can also be used by kids as it's so gentle.

The brush is really adorable, it's made of a lovely light coloured wood which has been polished so it's nice and smoothe and feels solid. It has the body shop logo written on the handle and black, sturdy bristles which are around an inch long, meaning the bristles are long enough to penetrate the hair properly and therefor detangle and smoothen it, as well as massaging the scalp.

It's a really nice brush to use and it's gets the knots out of my hair so quick and easy, it's not the sort of brush that pulls hair really hard/pulls strands of hair out, it's so gentle and because it has quite far apart bristles it gets the job done in a short amount of time. It's a really cute brush and considering the size of it, it is suprisingly strong. I have been using mine daily for a month or so now and it's lasting brilliantly, all the bristles are still in place and it looks good as new. Highly reccomended - a total bargain!
