I was given this brush as part of a pamper pack present and it typically retails at about £4. I have a number of Tresemme products and I wasn't disappointed with this product.
The main bonus feature of this product for me is the size of the brush. It is nice and small so it is easily portable and fits comfortably in to all of my handbags. Although it is small the majority of the brush is bristles with quite a small handle which I really like. I typically find that small brushes have small bristles so it takes a much longer time to brush your hair.
The brush itself brushes my hair really well. It works through the hair smoothy and is really effective at detangling knots. Many effective detangling brushes are quite harsh and I find them really painful for my scalp. I was really pleasantly surprised with this however as the brush is really gentle despite being so effective. It is also equally effective on wet hair in my experience. The brush is waterproof and dries off really quickly so you can store it in your bag again almost straight away.
The appearance of the brush is quite appealing. As well as being nice and compact it clearly displays the Tresemme label and has a good grip quality to it even if the brush gets wet.
I would definitely recommend this product - a really good quality, compact brush that is both effective and gentle. All for an affordable price!
My hair is very wild. Even the slightest breeze means it knots within seconds. For this reason I always like to have a hair brush in my bag in case I need to make my hair presentable again while out and about. A few months ago my Avon pop up brush snapped in half and so I needed to replace it. While in boots I noticed this brush on sale for just £3, so I decided to pick one up as I like the Tresemme brand for other hair products.
Unlike other handbag brushes this does not fold up but is in one solid piece. It is made of plastic but it feels very durable. It is easy to hold in your hand and the handle has a slight rubber texture to it to provide grip. This is great as it means even though there is a small handle to hold on to the extra grip really makes it easier to control. The bristles are attached well to the head of the brush and they are really flexible so it moves easily through my hair. What I like is that because the bristles are sturdy on the brush so they actually work with my hair rather than against it. I have shoulder length hair and find this a perfect size to conveniently brush my hair while on the go. It is too small to use as a main brush as you would expect, but it is convenient for taking out and about with me. I find that unlike other small brushes there is nowhere for your hair to get caught or trapped, which is perfect for minimal damage to your hair.
The brush is small so it fits in most of my handbags. It is too long to fit in my smaller clutch bags, but other than that there are no problems at all. It is sturdy enough to handle the rattling around in a bag while you are carrying it about without any major damage. This is essential for a take along brush for me as if it is constantly being used in public I do not want to pull it out if it is tired and worn. I have owned mine for a few months now and it is still in perfect condition, there are no scratches and none of the bristles have fallen out. This seems to be a common problem for take along brushes so I was happy to see this. The handle seems to be a little worn from where it is constantly held and there are indents where my fingers usually sit. This again does not look overly tatty but after a few more months I can see that it will begin peeling.
I do think this brush works well as it detangles my hair with minimal pulling. Like the larger brushes it has a flexible pad on the head of the brush which is both sensitive to your hair, but also works to provide better results. Despite it being a paddle brush which I associate with longer hair, I do think this brush is best suited to people with shorter or medium length hair as the head is small and would probably find it difficult to work with longer or thicker hair. Even with the brush being so small I find it is still perfect for my frizzy hair. It helps tame my hair without making it go static which often happens with other handbag brushes.
If you hadn't already guessed I would highly recommend this brush. It is a refreshing change from pop up handbag brushes, and it actually works really well. The soft cushion on the head of the brush, strong bristles and paddle design all make it perfect for my thick shoulder length hair. At around £5 retail it is a little more expensive than other brushes intended for the same reason but the quality does shine through. It has lasted well and so I think it is worth the extra money.
I've got long, thick hair which tends to knot really easily and if it's windy it doesn't take long for my hair to become a total mess!
I bought this brush as I thought that it'd be handy to pop into my handbag whenever I was going out. I had also intended to use it for touch-ups on nights out, but it's slightly too big for my clutch. It fits in my handbag and gym bag fine though and takes up very little room. It's around six inches long and it's very lightweight. As this is a paddle brush it has quite a bulky sqaure brush area where the bristles are, but like I said it is still a good size taking out and about for whenever my hair is a total mess and needs re-brushing, which happens way too much!!
I bought this brush around three months ago from Superdrug and paid around £4.00. It's also available from Boots, where it retails for £4.19. Initially this seemed quite expensive for a mini hairbrush, but as I already own a couple of other Tresemme brushes I am well aware of the quality and durability, so I didn't mind paying that bit extra. The brush comes attatched to a thin piece of black plastic which has the Tresemme branding on it as well as the product name. It also says that the brush is suitable for all hair lengths. The plastic is easy to remove with a pair of scissors.
The brush is black all over; black handle, black bristles etc and there's the Tresemme logo on the handle written in white writing. The brush has a little hole on the handle and the brush head is quite large and square shaped. It has quite a large surface area which means that I am able to brush through my hair nice and quickly and the long flexible bristles are strong and durable. There are lots of bristles and each has a little plastic ball on the end, ensuring that if the bristle makes contact with the scalp it won't hurt or cause any damage. The brush is cushioned which prevents static and as the bristles are flexible they detangle the hair well.
Although the brush is small, the handle is big enough to securely hold and grip and the brush is very strong and durable; it is just as effective as my larger paddle brush. This leaves my hair feeling tamed and smooth and it's brilliant at getting out tangles. It's a strong, well made brush and it copes fine with my thick hair, and when I hit a knot, I make sure that I gently work my way through it with the brush to ensure that it doesn't rip it straight out! The brush is waterproof due to the material (plastic infused with ceramic) and it works just as well on wet hair as it does dry hair.
The brush overall is really effecient. It's durable, sturdy and as it is miniature it's very handy for using on the move - and it's pretty cute, too. Recommended!
Recently I purchased a wooden de-tangling comb from The Body Shop and this got me thinking that I could save a lot of space in my gym bag if I packed mini versions of other items. So far I have found mini deodorant, mini conditioner, mini shampoo and now this mini paddle brush. Normally I take an Avon Paddle Brush with me to the gym and this is huge and quite impractical in my small gym bag. Space is definitely something of a premium in my gym bag with my make-up and other products all being squished together so I can take along my running shoes and gym wear too all on my way to work in the mornings. I picked up these Tresemme Mini Paddle brushes in a two pack from Amazon for just under £5.00. This seemed like a reasonable enough price to me and upon checking now the current price is just £4.79 with free super saver delivery making them an absolute bargain if you are looking for something like this.
I like to use a paddle brush because when used in conjunction with a hair dryer my hair ends up much smoother, softer and straighter than with a standard thin hair brush. Because I have very long hair and it can get in bad condition I have been following up use of my de-tangling comb with use of this mini paddle brush from Tresemme. I love that this is a version small enough to hold comfortably in my hand and yet it still helps me with drying my hair. Usually when using this all the knots and tangles have gone from my hair thanks to the comb that I am using but this hair brush sweeps through my hair with ease and it is a good enough size to still make light work of brushing my hair and when I brush it while drying I can get my hair dry and straight within about 15 minutes. This is just as long as it would take using my larger paddle brush only this one is more convenient for me. If I do have a few knots of tangles that I have missed when using my comb then this brush glides through them with ease without yanking on my hair and irritating my scalp. This is a huge plus point for me as I have very sensitive scalp and if my hair is pulled it can get quite uncomfortable.
I love how small and compact this brush is and I keep one in my gym bag and one in my handbag for when I am at work and I am trying to brush my hair discretely without everyone noticing. The handle is comfortable to hold, I love how the back is flat so it can lie at the bottom of my handbag with no problems at all. The bristles are coated with a rubber protection on the ends meaning that my hair is not damaged by this brush and the price is fantastic for two of these great little brushes. I have not had any bristles fall out yet despite using these brushes several times a day. The brush collects up loose hairs with ease and it is simple enough to remove that hair too once there are a few collected. In all I am very pleased with these brushes and I will be giving them 5/5. I love that I can come out of the gym knowing that both the brushes I need to get through my knotty, tangled hair are in my bag without taking up lots of space, they are effective and best of all they were cheap!
Firstly I should say that I hope you are not offended by my title, which was inspired by a review of Fifty Shades of Grey which I have just read!
Anyway, this small paddle brush is one of my essential daily items and works a treat at untangling your hair without ripping it out of your head. My hair tends to knot quite easily as it is quite fine but there is a lot of it. I therefore frequently have to brush it before going in to meetings, even the slightest gust of wind can turn it into a straw coloured birds nest on my head. I keep this brush in my work bag as it is small enough to not be a hindrance.
I bought this for £4.99 from a local Tesco store where they had it on offer in the hair products aisle (from memory I think it was half price, reduced from £9.99). I liked it because it is flat backed and has rubber tipped bristles and I know that for my hair these are the best option and least likely to damage it.
I find this a very useful product to have in my bag and I notice that you can pick this brush up on Amazon for less than a fiver now so it is quite remarkable value for such a good quality brush. I find the grip is very good, the bristles are firm but do have give in them and it is also easy to pull gathered hair out of (it always amazes me how much hair accumulates in the bristles and yet you never seem to notice all the malting on your head!?).
I think this is a great brush and a must have in anyone with long hair's handbag!
Inside every woman's handbag there is a world of goodies, and up until a few months ago I was minus a hair brush - which as my hair was getting longer I was struggling to deal with. I'd always had one of those folds over ones with a mirror attached, but they aren't really strong enough so I went on the hunt for something a bit stronger and capable of detangling my locks, when the wind took them!

A brand most people have heard of by now I'd imagine, they like to advertise themselves as hair care professionals and give you the best quality of hair care and a low price with the tag line 'Professional, Affordable.' Hairbrushes are only one of their massive amount of products available, they sell everything from shampoo up to hair straighteners, so if you're a fan of tresemme you're sure to find enough products to sink a ship with at the minute.
~*~ Is it any good as a hairbrush? ~*~
Well to be honest it's tiny, in realistic terms it's about an inch longer than my iPhone, that's how small it is - well compared to my normal size hair brush, because in my opinion the bigger the hairbrush the better because then my hair is done faster and when I'm at work, means I can have an extra five minutes in bed rather than fight with my hair! So if you're used to something large, you might find brushing your hair with this a bit of a fight really, especially if you have long and thick hair. For those of you with a little bob or cropped hairstyle you'll probably find this better than a normal hairbrush, because then you don't wind up brushing your neck and ears.
It's definitely small enough to fit in an average size handbag, just don't expect it to fit in a little clutch bag that you'd use for a night out - if you've got a clutch bag more the size of a folder then you'll have no problem, anything smaller and you'll be poking people with a big lump in your bag all night. As the handle is made of this soft plastic material, you know the one that feels a bit soft until you've had it too long and the top layer starts to peel off? Yeah like that, which when it's been in your bag won't be too long until it starts to come off. Though to be honest, I've had mine since January and it's done pretty well, it still looks pretty new with its silver tresemme logo on, and the entire logo is there not just a bit of it - which is pretty good going since it's been used pretty much every day for five months.
It's not too bad on your hair either, compared to those fold in hair brushes this one does go much better on your poor hair strands. Purely because the bristles are static not folding in anywhere and well they're much better quality! After brushing my hair with this brush, it does feel really nice and soft and minus any tangles - even if you do have them it pulls them out without pulling chunks of hair out which I'm very grateful for. It's a really easy hairbrush to clean as well, with it being padded on the base of the bristles, you can push it down and grab the hair around the bristles and pull them out without any hassle; this pad is also nice on your head if you've got quite thick hair because it cushions the blow against your head when you're pulling the brush through.
If you need a good handbag hairbrush get this one it might be a bit pricey but it's definitely worth the money, because it's long lasting, and it will be kind to your hair! Without making it go static!

This hairbrush is available in Boots for £4.19, so much cheaper than it is on Amazon at £5.89 with postage. It is available online in various places but I've not seen it anywhere else in my town on the high street, but if you happen to be in Boots with points to spare, grab one and try it.
There is nothing worse than turning up to meet someone out and about on a windy day and looking like you have been dragged through a hedge backwards. That is why I always ensure I carry a hairbrush with me.
The Tresemme Mini Paddle Brush has been my best handbag brush to date. It is handy sized to be able to pop into a handbag, even a very small clutch bag for a night out. And, unlike a lot of handbag brushes which I find you tend to use to make do whilst out and really you can't wait to give your hair a good proper brush when you get home, this mini paddle brush is just as effective as a brush of a much larger size.
There are a number of reasons for this. Chiefly it is because it is simply a mini version of the full size paddle brush Tresemme make. It has the same flexible epoxy tipped pins and padded area under the bristles which allow you to de-tangle knots gently from the hair at the same time as being gentle, and actually, quite relaxing on the scalp. It is also highly effective at smoothing and calming hair.
It is a paddle brush design, which is unusual for a handbag brush and whilst it is small, only about 15 cm long - about the length of a small ruler - the paddle brush head is almost square so allows you to cover a lot of the surface of the hair in one stroke. This ensures it is effective at very quick touch ups. A few strokes of the hair and your style is sorted.
It is also a lot more sturdy than many handbag brushes. It is made of good solid plastic which hasn't come to any harm thrown into the bottom of my bag and carted about. Even the bristles are still intact and not even bent or broken.
The design is very appealing. It is simply black with a white Tresemme logo on the handle and because it is a mini version of a paddle brush it is very cute.
It is even suitable for all hair types whether long or short, thick or fine. It does not cause static or fly away hair and is sturdy enough to get through the thickest of hair.
The handle is just long enough to hold comfortably in your hand and at £3.99 from Boots it is a handbag brush bargain.
I actually bought this brush for my hospital bag ready for when I went into hospital to have my daughter. I wanted a brush I could keep in there so once it was packed, it was packed and I didn't have to think about it. It was a real surprise how effective it was - even on wet hair after getting out of the shower and it was quite handy for blow drying my hair whilst I was still in hospital and didn't have any other brush to hand. I have carried it around with me on trips out ever since. It turned out to be a really good investment.
It is the kind of brush that when you get it out, your friends will say, 'oh can I borrow your brush'.
Paddle brushes are one of my favourite style of hair brush is that weird to have a favourite style I don't know anyway it is.
This paddle brush I purchased for myself from Boots it cost a small £3.99 and I picked it up because I had gone out on a windy day with my hair down and was meeting a friend for lunch and did not want to look like I had been dragged through a headge backwards! The brush is made by Tresemme and the Tresemme name is printed on it.
The brush is a mini version of a paddle brush. The handle of the brush is just the right size to fit in your hand. This paddle brush has flexible epoxy tipped pins which are the bits which go through your hair making it knot free. I also find that they are good for massaging my scalp with they are soft enough to be relaxing. The size of the brush was perfect for my purpose I was able pop into the toilet sort my hair out then pop the brush into my bag. It is now an essintial for nights out when you need that quick touch up I am sure the ladies amongst us understand - especially as the nights get colder and more windy!
My hair is quite long below my shoulders and this brush works through it really well so I would say it is suitable for all hair lengths my hair is medium in thickness I would say but a friend of mine has really thick hair and she has borrowed it to with no problems so a good all rounder.
I give the brush 5 stars its a handbag must have.
I like to have a large collection of brushes for my hair, in some part thanks to my hair dressing training, but I also like to have a brush or comb with me where ever I go to make sure my hair is always looking it's best.
My Sister showed me this really cute little paddle brush, which turns out to be the Tresemme Mini Paddle Brush. It is literally what the name says, a mini paddle brush. I have a full size version of a paddle brush, but I find that it can take up a good amount of room in my hand bag which I found to be annoying, and has caused damage to my brushes before.
The Mini Paddle Brush is just perfect to pop into your handbag, in fact it even fits into my make up bag, so I always know exactly where it is should I need to whip it out and brush my hair. I was at first expecting this brush not to be a great brush, mainly due to it's size, but ti actually surprised me. It works perfectly fine and is great at untangling and deknotting as well as smoothing and calming for the hair.
The brush is nice and sturdy too, which is definatley a surprise for it's small stature, I was expecting it to be easily brakeable, but it has held up very well, travelling with me to many places and in many different bags, and not even a bristle has broken. The Mini Paddle Brush in black, and has a nice padded area underneath the bristles. The Tresemme logo is printed on the handle in white. The brush is made from a hardened plastic, and the handle is just long enough to hold comfortably in your hand when brushing you hair and best of all, it is really cute!
You can buy this brush in Boots stores and on Boots.com. I have not seen it for sale anywhere else, but then I can not say I have looked any where else. It cost me £4 for this brush, which I think it is actually a really good price for it. I totally recommend this Mini Paddle Brush, and if you have a need to keep a hair brush with you, then this is the perfect hair brush for you.
