      Excellent tail comb

I purchased this tail comb a while ago after using a cheap Boot's own brand own which was just so blunt and flimsy compared to this one! It was so much hassle doing my parting everyday, and I am glad I switched to this one by Trevor Sorbie.

It was around £4.20 a while ago from Boot's when I bought it, and it has lasted me a good few years so far. As long as you look after it and keep it clean, there isn't much that can go wrong with it!

This has a comb at one end, and at the other end is a metal pole which is the handle for the comb, and also is used to style your hair. I use this part of the comb, to do my parting at the side when I wear my hair down, or just section my hair when I am blow drying or straightening it. It gives a neat straight line in one go, it is not fiddly to use, and is so lightweight to hold.

The comb is a nice little comb to use, although I don't use a comb very often, but when I do use this, is combs through my hair really nicely, although I have to hold the comb part to use it, as the metal pole is too thin to hold properly. It feels really strong and sturdy though and has lasted me probably about 18 months now so far, and it looks as good as the day I bought it still.

It is really easy to clean, I just soak it in hot soapy water and leave it to air dry afterwards. I would highly recommend this tail comb if you need something to help section your hair neatly, it is small, easy to take about with you in your make up bag, it's cheap considering how long it lasts and how well made it is, and it works really well! It makes styling my hair so much quicker and easier and will definitely use this for years!

      Almost perfect!

The other day I was in Boots having a nosey when I came across a reduced section. I usually find some good little bargains when I'm out and when I saw this comb costing only a pound from a well know brand I really was pleased! I had been looking for a comb such as this for a while but the ones I had seen were a bit pricey!

      The Packaging:

The comb comes encased with light creamy coloured cardboard which hangs in store and on front of it we are are told of course that it is Trevor Sorbie Tail Comb 'For Sectioning'. On the back we are told a bit about the product, how to use it (including tip), we are told how to look after the comb and contact details for Trevor Sorbie are given. This is disposable and minimal packaging and informative enough etc.

      The Comb Itself:

The comb itself is about 9 inches long (give or take I'm only rough guessing here lol). The top part of it is a fine and thin, hard brown coloured plastic, single filed comb which on one side of it we are told that it is Trevor Sorbie Professional and then the handle is stainless steel, silver and thin and rounded to the end.

The idea of this comb is to get your hair into style with it. It isn't the easiest of combs to get to grips with mind you as the handle is so thin.....but it needs to be thin.....

I hold mine almost on the comb section for comfort and its great comb. I can use this to part my hair, it gently dentangles and doesn't drag or tear my hair at all.

The reason the handle is so thin is because this is also meant for styling, inparticular stectioning so particulary handy if your straightening or dividing sections of your hair for curling. Its a precise 'tool' this one and I would only advise anyone to purchase this who needs a styling comb not just a comb cos the comb really is thin and long handled and hard to grip.

However as I have already mentioned this is a fabulous, good quality and easy to rinse clean comb and I'm really impressed with it. Its took me a while to get to grips with it (pardon the pun!) but once you do you'll be lifting and back combing and allsorts with this tool!

I bought mine in Boots but these are widely available both online and from good chemists and likes costing about £3.69 a comb.
