Advantages: Super sharp, excellent grip and comes in hygenic case
Disadvantages: Bit on the pricey side
Never in my life did I think of spending more than £1 on a pair of tweezers but alas, the time came when my wedding meant I should take more care of my eyebrows, especially as they were so bushy!
I decided to pop into my local Boots and search the tweezer section. To my surprised there was a whole range of tweezers priced between £1 - £10! Tweezerman tweezers was under the £10 tag - £10 for a pair of tweezers, must be good!
So I took them to the till, paid and started plucking away at home.
Packaging:
The tweezers come in its own separate case which come in a variety of colours including matallic green and turquoise blue. I like this - the fact that I could keep my tweezers in a bright container which is easy to find (I'm forever losing tweezers!) and also to keep them hygenic. The case inside has a felt lining on one half to protect the tweezers and the other half acts as a cap. This company does go full out to protect these tweezers!
Plucking ability:
The first thing I noticed about these tweezers were how sharp they were! You have to be careful, because at first I wasn't use to this sharpness, and scratched my skin a few times - partnered with the plucking, very painful! But you get use to it and learn how to angle the tweezer properly. These tweezers are fantastic! They grip onto all the hairs, even the ones just coming out of the skin. I haven't lost grip once and plucking has been made so much quicker!
I've had my tweexers for nearly a year now and they are still going strong, so no signs of any bluntness at the moment.
Special quirks:
The tweezers come with a lifetime guarantee for sharpening or repair for free. I haven't tried this yet but you do need to send this over to the USA for sharpening. I think the company is fairly confident you wont need this as, as I have already said, the tweezers are super sharp and since owning them for nearly a year now, I haven't had any problems with grip and slipping.
Overall:
This is definitely £10 well spent. Yes it is pricey, but it beats losing the tweezers all the time or the tweezers going blunt. Good buy!
Summary: Great pair of tweezers and well worth the price!
