“ Brand: Wilkinson / Type: Other Beauty Accessories „
As there is a relatively new Wilko store which has opened up near to where I live, I love to pop in there every so often to look for a few bargains. It's a huge shop and I can spend ages in there sometimes, just browsing the aisles and looking for good deals. One of the items I have bought most recently has been their own cotton wool pleat which is advertised as Wilko Baby Cotton Wool Pleat.
This massive pack of cotton wool only cost me 86p and the pack contains 200g. Cotton wool obviously doesn't weigh heavy and so I get an enormous amount for my money. One of the things I love about this particular brand of cotton wool (as well as the price) is the fact that it's soft and really luxurious to feel and perfect for removing make up and nail polish. It's really absorbent and I love that the pleat itself has perforated edges to it which means that I am able to snap bits off as I want and none goes to waste as I don't end up snapping off a bigger chunk than I actually need.
The packaging is great too because it comes in a transparent plastic pack but after it's been opened it has little white strings at the end which I can easily pull together to ensure that the cotton wool which remains inside the pack doesn't fall all over the drawer of my dressing table.
The cotton wool itself is not only luxurious to feel and very soft on the skin but it has a fantastic absorbency rate and using it alongside my regular facial cleaner makes light work of removing all of my make up including eye make up. It doesn't shred and small bits don't fall off like I have discovered with some other brands of cheaper cotton wool. This is without doubt, a very good quality cotton wool, nice and white and soft and so versatile and great for everyday use.
Cheap, effective and fanatic quality so hat more could I ask for.
=Wilko Baby Cotton Wool Pleat=
I am not brand loyal with cotton wool, both in terms of stores and whether I buy the cotton wool balls or cotton wool pleat, this purchase was from Wilkinson's.
=Price and Availability=
This is available from Wilkinson and is a 200gram packet, and cost 86p, excellent price.
The outer wrapper is a see through wrapper, the packet is oblong in shape and has a double piece of white string in which you pull together to reseal the bad,
On the front there is a large lilac and purple colour patch, and on this we are told that this Wilko baby Cotton Wool Pleat "soft & gentle", and that it is 100% pure cotton, absorbent and perforated for easy use, in includes the size, (200g).
On the rear of the packet, there is additional information which includes how to use, as well as warnings are given, there is also the contact details for the manufacturer. I found that all the information was easy to read and everything that you would need to know.
=The Cotton Wool=
What I like with the strip of the cotton wool is that you can pull off as much or as little as you need.
The cotton wool is soft and fluffy, and is great for cleanser, toner, nail polish remover that I tend to use cotton wool for, there is no bits that come lose, the cream or nail polish remover does not soak in and not be viable to use,
My daughter has even tried it out for size for when we go on holiday, as bless her heart, her evening job on holiday after I have had a shower, she puts the after sun lotion on my back, she has to do it via cotton wool, so we had to have a trial with some body lotion and I am pleased to say it met with her approval.
=Even the dog has it used on him=
We have a Spaniel, and he seems to get a build of wax in his ears, which we regularly wipe out, and this cotton wool pleat was also tried out on him, and without sounding daft the pleat is easier to use, and again it was soft and gentle on him.
=Would I recommend=
i would highly recommend this product and is one I will defiantly buy again,
One thing I buy and get through a lot of is cotton wool whether it be for removing my make up, nail polish or even for cleaning my cat, Myrtles ears out with so when I recently spotted this in my local Wilkinson's store costing only 86p for a whopping 200g of the stuff I snapped it up thinking that it would hopefully be good value for money and last me ages.
This cotton wool pleat comes in a see-through long, oblong in shape bag with a double piece of white string to the top of it which means once opened the bag becomes resealable. On the front of the bag there is a large lilac and purple coloured area with a couple of carton sheep depicted on there and we are clearly told that it is Wilko Baby Cotton Wool Pleat 'Soft & Gentle' and that it is '100% pure cotton, gentle and absorbent and perforated for easy use' and the size is stated (as I have listed already). On the back of the bag other information given includes being told a bit more about the product, warnings are given and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly stated. Nice enough packaging this is and informative enough it is too.
The Cotton Wool:
What you get is huge amount of soft and plush feeling white cotton wool and simply loads of it and to use it you can simply pull off as much or as little as you like and there are perforated edges to help pull it off too otherwise it's a big, long strip.
This is simply excellent quality cotton wool, soft and fluffy with no hard bits in it and it is absorbent too. I can place cleansers, toners and nail polish removers to this without it dripping everywhere till I get it to where I want to use it and the bits don't fluff off all over the place and then when I've finished with it I simply bin it. I use this for hamster bedding, to clean out my cats ears allsorts....and I am happy to say I have had no issues with this at all and think it really is superb value for money as its such great quality!
This is great for so many needs and it gets a huge thumbs up from me for being cheap and more than a little cheerful...its great so well done Wilkinson's!
