      A great wipe!

My skin is as pale as pale can be. As a natural red head I'm pure white and ghostlike in colour, something that has done my head in all my life. If I try to sunbathe I go pink and then thats it, I don't go a nice shade of brown which is so unfair as my Dad used to go as brown as a berry in the sun according to his own phrase (sadly he is no longer with us). Even my Mum tans really well but me.......no matter what I do I just stay white or at best pink.

So from time to time I do play around with fake tans. I have had some disasterous results and gone bright orange like a lot of us have but have thankfully found a couple of self tan products that suit me very well indeed and ten to stick with using them from time to time.

However the other day in my local Wilkinson's store I spotted self tan wipes reduced in price from £1.00 a pack to 10p a pack and decided to buy 10 packs, for me and some friends to share.

      The Packaging:

The packaging of these is like most face and baby wipes really. The plastic wrap is square in shape and yellow and brown in colour with a hole to the front centre of the pack with a resealable sticky, see-through section. On the top of the pack we are told that they are Wilko Tan System Self Tan Wipe 'Lightly fragranced, pH balanced' and that they give a natural tan and that they are Derma-tested and that the pack contains 30 wipes. On the bottom of the pack we are told a bit about the product and how to use them, the ingredients are stated and contact details for Wilkinsons are given. Nice enough, unisex looking pack this is, the resealable section is just that and the wipes are very easy to pull out one at a time.

      Using Them:

Well the wipes are square and white in shape and made from a thickish soft material opposed to being thin tissue or anything like that and they are rather strong. Each one is damp and not soaking wet and lightly fragranced with a really pleasant and natural coconut fragrance. The pack tells us to wash our hands immediately after use and to gently wipe one wipe per limp on cleansed exfoliated and moisturised skin and that the colour should develop on the skin within a few minutes and you can reapply these 3 hours later if you wish to build the colour up.

I found these surprisingly easy to use and gentle on my skin and loved the fragrance of them loads. That fragrance lingered on my skin for a good few hours as well. The colour on my skin was subtle and stayed on well for a good few days too and faded over time without the residue crumbling or anything like that.

      Overall:

These are great, economical and give a really subtle, natural colour. I really like them actually and find them much easier to to use than lotions and the likes and will continue to purchase them time and time again in the future.

      Only available from Wilkinson's.
