I love the look of French manicured nails and I have tried for many years to get the perfectly even white tips with the brushes usually provided with nail polishes, however, this proves very difficult, even with the sticker strips that you can get to help get the even line. I had recently had my nails French manicured at a salon for my recent wedding and loved the look so much and was amazed at how even she managed to get the white tip. For years I've struggled to find the perfect French manicure kit. I've never been able to find the perfect shade of pink/peach and the brushes for the white tip have never been that easy to use, I've tried long brushes, short brushes even angled brushes but none seemed to make much difference. Then I heard about the YSL French Manicure and decided that for the price, surely it had to be good. It comes in the form of 2 pen-style varnishes. The pink shade has brush application and the white has a felt-tip style nib. A great idea you might think, a french manicure look achieved in not much more time than it takes to apply normal polish but sadly, as with a lot of great ideas, it just doesn't quite work. You get 2 pens (4ml each), one for the pinky colour, one for the white tip. The pinky one has a brush and you push the button at the end of the pen to coat it with polish. You can then paint your nail as you would normally do. The pink is quite subtle and peachy and would probably suit most people.
