K&Co Ultra-bounce Pillows
by xxfoxyredxx
When it comes to pillows I am rather fussy I have to admit and usually buy rather expensive ones however recently I was looking for more economy purchases as I was looking for four new ones for my bed and that took me to looking what was in my catalogues.
I eventually bought these ones from my Kays catalogue and for a pack of ... four of them it only cost me £18.00 which I thought was great and being called ultra bounce I had high hopes for them being of good quality!
The Packaging:
These come in a mainly white plastic covering where on the front of them we are told a what thye are and who they are made by and a bit about the product and shown little diagrams about them showing their durability and how they work then etc then on the back of the pack other information listed includes how to contact the manufacturer and so on.
The Pillows:
These are white in colour and of standard size really, well they fit standard sized pillowcases anyway. I was expecting them to be much larger, thicker and plumper than they were to be honest but I stuck them on my bed and hoped over time before I got into bed they would expand...they didn't.
These are meant to have a luxurious cotton/polyester cover, they do have a paper thin covering on all of the pillows though I wouldn't say that was particulary luxurious to be honest really.
Then inside of the pillows the fibres are meant to be conjugate fibres to help them bounce back into shape after you've laid your head on them but again I didn't find that at all and that the fluffy white material that all the pillows were stuffed with sank once my head had been on them and they felt like they never fully recovered at all and seriously gone from bad to worse over time and becoming flat as a pancake!
I can't make do with one of these pillows at sleep time as I find them so thin to be honest and I expected them to be of decent quality but they really are not! They go flat as a pancake and dead as a dodo and they are not suitable for washing either and in my view get a big thumbs down and I felt that I totally wasted my money on them!
Google if interested but my final words are seriosuly don't bother! Read the complete review |

Argos Value Range Fitted Sheet
by alfiepeaches
Moving to uni meant I was no longer going to have a nice double bed but on the plus side it meant choosing new, fun bedding! I went to Argos as I knew they'd have a cheap selection of colourful pieces to choose from, I decided to go a bit mismatched and chose blue pillowcase, a purple duvet cover and a bright pink bottom sheet. ...
The fitted sheet came neatly folded around some cardboard in plastic wrapping with a piece of paper stating what it was and made of and how to clean it (all the boring stuff I didn't read!). Opening the sheet from the packaging was very easy and then putting it over the mattress was too and there was no annoying struggle of it slipping off one end as I tucked it around the other. The elastic used keeps the sheet on nice and tight and having slept on it for the last two months it has no once come off. Cleaning the sheet is also easy, the colour does not run and also doesn't fade which is great as it's such a great colour!
I think I paid about £3-£4 for this so obviously it is not the best of bed sheets but is definitely great for students like myself, childrens beds or just anyone on a budget. Overall I find the material is soft and I find it very comfortable to sleep on which is all anyone wants from a bed sheet in the end isn't it? Read the complete review |

Snug Ultrabounce Duvet
by xxfoxyredxx
Every year I seem to buy myself a new duvet. I like to freshen up so I get shopping for what is deemed to be a bargain afterall I don't want to be spending extortionate amounts on something I don't ever keep for that long however I still of course want quality and warmth from a duvet.
I never go below a 13.5 tog, even in the ... summer. I seem to always be cold suffering from a thyroid condition and M.E and realistically looking back on this duvet I should have bought myself a 15 tog as I could be warmer however from this brand their togs don't go any higher than the 13.5g.
I have owned this one a few months now however I am only using this for a couple more weeks due to the fact it is going as I am getting a new Kingsize divan bed and therefore need all new bedding again however I have to admit I wouldn't be getting rid of this one at the moment as I really like it and it certainly has a lot of life in it still!
I bought this from Kays (www.kays.com) and it comes in sizes single, double and kingsize and in 4.5 tog, 10.5 tog and 13.5 and they go from prices £8.00 for a single 4.5g tog up to £23.00 for a kingsize with a 13.5g tog so you can see that these are a rather cheap option for duvets and I paid just £20.00 for my double 13.5 tog!
The Packaging:
It comes rolled up within a white and lilac, easy to tear off plastic wrapper and on it we are simply told what it is and who it is by and that it is non- allergenic and machine washable and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Its simple packaging this and easy to dispose of as there isn't too much of it.
The Duvet:
When I got this out the wrapping I was surprised as it seemed rather flat however you need to give it room to 'breathe' and being called 'Ultra Bounce' it does thicken back out. The cover is white and made of polyproylene and like a paper but its soft enough, strong and within it it is filled with a white spiral blended fibre and like I have already mentioned this is machine washable and I have washed and dried this once since owning it at the launderette as it would never fit in my washing machine or tumble drier and this gave me no issues at all or impaired its quality.
My double size is a true double size, it isn't as bouncy as I expected to be but it does keep me warm. It is an economy buy this one and I can't describe it as luxurious as such but its suited me well and I would buy another one in the future!
Google if interested and it is of course available from Kays. Read the complete review |
