Argos Value Range Cosy Sleeper 13.5 Tog Duvet
I recently had to get another quit for my daughters bed, as bless her she had been poorly with a sickness bug and using the spare quilt, as over the winter, I put a double quilt on her bed as she is a fidget.
=Argos to the rescue=
As one of the quilts we had managed to get machine washed at home, the other wouldn't fit it, and looking at taking it to the laundry it was as cost effective if not cheaper to buy a new quilt and chuck that one out.
=13.5tog=
I got a 13.5tog, as her bed is right by the radiator, so her room is always warm.
=Value Range=
This quilt was from the Argos value range, - the plastic wrapping is the blue and white packaging of the value range, and it explains about the quilt, that it is a double 13.5tog.
=Pre-Use=
When you purchase the duvet, it is wrapped into a cylinder shape, as soon as you open the packaging the duvet immediately starts fluffing up, and plumps nicely.
The filling is a polyester filling, and this is evenly distrubed throughtout the quilt.
The cover is 100% spun bonded non-woven polypropylene cover. (The paper like feel).
=Washing=
The quilt can be machine washed, and this is up to 60C. But drying is line dry only.
=Price=
The price for this quilt was £10.99, which is excellent value.
=Alternative Options=
The value range is available in Single, Double and King-size quilts, the tog ratings are
4.5tog - The lightest duvet - Summer weight through to 15tog which is Winter weight quilt.
=Fitting=
The quilt fitted perfectly in the double covers that we have at home, we had no problems fitting the quilt in, no big gaps either side in the quilt cover.
=Comfort=
My daughter found the quilt to be comfortable and has kept her warm, I have also tried the quilt in her bed, as when she has a sleepover, her and her friend have my double bed, and I move into her room with the single bed, but I always make sure I have a double quilt for comfort. Its comfortable, kept me warm.
=Washing=
We did manage to get this quilt into the washing machine, we have a 7kg tub machine, it washed perfectly, line dried it, then hang it over the clothes horse in the dining room, it took about 3 days to fully dry out.
=Price=
In all honestly at these prices, the plan is to change the other quilts to the value quits at this price, there just as easy to use for 6 months, then replace. Cheaper than paying laundrette prices.
=Would I recommend=
I would highly recommend these quilts.
=My Niggle=
The only niggle that I have about the quilts is the propeline cover - its the paper feel - once youve got use to it, there ok, just feel funny at first. I would prefer to pay £1 or so extra and have a cotton cover.
This type of cover is not just confined to value quilts, its this cover that stops the quilts being tumble dryable
Summary: An ideal quilt - just remember it can't be tumble dried
