Advantages: Cheap and cheerful and easy to care for
Disadvantages: Not the best quality
I love buying bedding and I love light, fresh, clean crisp colours on my bed. I know however that having light colours such as white and creams that they need to be changed alot and that is why I own so much bedding!
When I moved into my flat, my bed and bedding was my most important purchases to me. I appreciate a comfortable bed more than anything else and with having so many ailments I need comfort.
One of the places (along with Ikea) was Argos where I turned to, to get a lot of my stuff that I needed. I found the bedding to be rather cheap and cheerful and bulk bought loads of it and I grabbed a few of these sheets (as they were on sale at the time).
These come in single, double (which is mine) and kingsize options in both white and cream options. The single costs £2.99, the double is £3.99 and the kingsize usually costs £4.99 though at the time I submit this review the white option is currently on sale at £2.99 (so if you want it you better hurry lol).
The sheets come basically in a clear and cardboard wrapping on which you are told what it is and on the back contact details for Argos are given and thats it really.
The Fitted Sheet:
Made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester this is machine washable at 40c and suitable for tumble drying. It is plain to look of at course being a block colour and not too thin (so you can't see through it). It has a tight elasticated edging and fits my bed with perfect ease and once it is placed and fitted to my bed it doesn't move at all or ping off or anything like that, it simply stays in place and not once moved on my bed at all. It irons well enough too and it is important to be ironed or it looks a right state lol.
It isn't the best quality I won't lie but then I never expected it to be for £3.99 (for the double) fitted sheet and actually I paid £1.99 for a few of them whilst they were on offer but it looks nice enough and is soft enough. It just isn't as soft as a lot of far more expensive fitted sheets that I own but its good enough. it certainly isn't rough and I have found that the more I wash it the softer and more comfortable it becomes over time.
I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing these in the future as they do offer excellent value for money just don't expect Egyptian or a high thread count and you won't be disappointed people!
Only available in Argos stores.
Summary: Good enough sheets!
