Advantages: ummmm they wash and dry quick
Disadvantages: Go flat and lumpy
mmmm what to buy with the dreaded £5 gift voucher from Argos when they have that 'spend £50 and get a £5 voucher' promotion on. I can never find anything I want in time and inevitably end up buying something that I don't want and having to add money to it- not last time I got a couple of pillows which were under a fiver, £2.94 at the moment for two or £5.88 for four. I've had cheap value pillows before and didn't think much of them these are the same.
These pillows are non-allergenic so that's good. They have a 100% spun bonded non-woven polypropylene cover, 100% polyester hollowfibre filling, are anti allergy and machine washable at 40°C again which is good. They're smaller than normal pillows at 71cm by 46cm but about average for value branded pillows.
The pillows come tightly packed but pop up when opened, these are surprisingly light in weight. They are too small for normal pillow cases but that doesn't bother me, it doesn't hamper their performance (they do that themselves).
On first use they are nice and plumped up but just aren't comfy they feel too 'light' there's no support at all in them. Each time you sleep on them they get flatter and flatter, I like quite a high pillow so need two anyway but even two of these doesn't create 'one' pillow height.
After say a few weeks they're totally flat and lumpy and aren't even relegated to going underneath a better pillow. On the plus side they do wash okay, I put them on a normal wash which makes them lumpy but then in the dryer they do regain a bit of shape but are still flat in my opinion.
I wouldn't buy these again and have infact invested in some dear pillows, they're worth the extra expense because they last a lot longer.
Perhaps they'd be okay for occasional use on a spare bed or for camping.
Summary: Lose their bounce almost straight away
