==Star Wars Empire Duvet Set and Pillow Case==
With Jack actually needing a new bed set due to his old one from Argos not wearing and washing up particular well we decided that for the price we might as well hunt down a Star Wars related one to please Jack as well. The thing was that there seemed to be a ton of the newer Clone Wars typ eof duvet sets and this classic design was really what we wanted.
==Price and Availability==
so when I had found one of the classic designs of duvet covers it seemed that they had the name "empire" in the title and this meant that search the web for this duvet set became a lot easier and I did come across a fair few sets both in a new and used condition. We wanted a new set and the cheapest we found it was at play.com for a little bit under £16 which seemed to be a pretty fair price for any duvet set let alone one that had Star Wars on it. There was free postage and packaging too so the price wasn't bumped up at all.
==Look and Design==
This duvet and pillow set make for a really good item and they have a really good look to it that Jack absolutely loves. He much prefers the older style films to the cartoon Clone Wars and the bed spread does feel like it would be suitable for a child from a young age right up to an adult really. The way that the manic characters have all got a place on the bed spread in good and we see the classic font of Star Wars written in bold along the bottom.
Darth Vader takes up prime positioning on the pillow case while the other characters such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Hans Solo and Obi Wan feature on the body of the duvet cover along with a couple of X wing fighter jets. I would have much preferred to have got the film duvet cover from the more recent trilogy so that I could have the middle aged Anakin and Obi Wan to look at who would be much more appealing to me!
Both the duvet cover and pillow case fitted the bare duvet and pillow well and they were neither too tight or too loose when I put them on. They set looked great on the bed and both Jack and myself were suitably impressed. Of course I washed the set before putting it on the first time so that it wasn't too hard and smelt a lot fresher and nicer.
The set did wash up well and has had a good few washes since purchase and hasn't seemed to fade or loose any of the tightness it first came with. It dried fairly quickly too and I was able to wash and dry the whole set within the day so that Jack was able to have it back on his bed before night-time.
The bedspread is made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester which is what I find works best on duvets as they tend to crease a lot more if they are made with 100% cotton and with the mix that this has it doesn't really need an iron although if you so wished ironing is safe as the picture is not printed on the cover buy designed into the fabric.
The fastening at the bottom of the duet cover is of those popper type buttons rather than proper buttons and these are fixed on well and don't look as though they are liable to come loose any time soon and of course this makes Jack enjoy popping them together and helping me getting his bed ready which is always a bonus.
==My Overall Opinion==
all in all I must say that this set was a great purchase and I am glad that I chose to buy it. The price was good and the quality is more than acceptable. Jack loves it so much and I gives his Star Wars laden bedroom even more of a classic Star Wars feel that I really can't complain. It isn't too garish or loud as the dark colours don't really make it look cheap and after the initial wash the set was comfortable and soft.
I think nothing but a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a very high recommendation is well deserved.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
