Advantages: Pocket sprung, firm, good quality, very thick

Disadvantages: too firm, not enough "give", too high to be used with 2 pillows, too low to be used alone

Exclusive to Dreams - Pocket Plus - pocket sprung pillow. £24.99 per pillow.

I have been using Dunlopillo latex pillows for years but they are becoming too expensive now so decided on a change. If you use latex pillows you will realise they are totally different from any other type of pillow therefore it is very hard to find something else that suits.

Decided to go into Dreams as they have plenty of pillows on display. The saleswoman recommended this one as she has it at home herself. It certainly felt thick and not too sinky so decided to give one a try.

It is too high for using with another pillow, and marginally too low to be used on its own. This was the first problem. I started off using it with a small soft pillow underneath but felt when I was lying on my back that my chin was almost touching my chest, my head was so raised. Took out the small pillow and tried it on its own instead. Still no go. It does not have the spongy texture of latex and even though it is pocket sprung, it is very hard and doesn't seem to give at all. Also, it is noisy which I realise must sound strange, but honestly when you lie on your side, all you can hear is your hair scratching on the pillow, even through a pillowcase. I just couldn't get used to it, and although it is a good quality pillow, I wouldn't recommend it for people with neck or back pain.

Summary: Quality pillow, but not very comfortable
