As part of our Ikea spree we got four new pillows as our old ones were pretty much worn out.
There are a lot of pillows in various shapes and sizes and price ranges in Ikea. I chose the Gosa Vadd as it looked about the right size and it was £6.
This one comes in three versions- back sleeper, stomach sleeper and side sleeper. To be honest, I couldn't really tell the difference between them, but I think the stomach sleeper may have been a little less plump than the others.
I bough the back sleeper one as I mostly sleep on my back.
The dimensions of the pillow are:
Length: 50 cm
Width: 80 cm
Filling weight: 650 g
Total weight: 735 g
The outer covering is white in colour and the material is 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The filling is polyester fibre balls.
The pillows are quite plump, around 7-8 inches thick in the middle. I would describe them as more soft than firm. However, they dont completely get squashed and go flat either. They are quite comfortable and I dont think I'll be worrying about pillows for a while. They are fairly standard size and I have been able to use all my pillow covers on them. The covers fit quite perfectly, actually.
The seams seem stitched together very well in two rows and I haven't had any filling leaking out of the pillow yet.
Although I didn't expect it at the time, these pillows have been very useful to me for breastfeeding, I use them for back support all the time and sometimes to lay my baby across on my lap while feeding.
The product description says the are machine washable, but I haven't washed them yet so I cant comment on that.
I am quite happy with these pillows and would be happy to recommend them to you.
