Advantages: Unusual, great quality
Disadvantages: Expensive even at half price
When it comes to buying bedding its something I buy rather alot of and openly admit that I probably own too much of it too! However I love my lovely double bed and appreciate it looking and feeling good so I don't really intend on stopping buying any anytime soon!
I do alot of home shopping with catalogues as not only do I find it helpful to me and my purse that I can spread out the payments but that also I can have things I wouldn't normally splash out on and one of my favourite places to shop for homeware is from the Kay & Co website (www.k&co.com) and I also have a paper catalogue in my home too.
These pillowcases I bought for a reason. I already have a terracota bed set which came with two pillowcases already but as I have four pillows on my bed I wanted some I could match up with what I already had and one evening online I spotted these and decided to order them to see what I thought and I liked them so I kept them. I could've sent them back for free as k & co give free delivery and free returns so I knew I had nothing at all to lose just by taking a look!
The Pillowcases:
These are currently on offer for £19.00 a pair but usually sell for £38.00 a pair. Expensive right? I mean even at £19.00 a pair for just pillowcases I don't consider that to be cheap however with the saving I was making I did want to see them!
They comes in two colour options. The ones I opted for which are terracota and white and blue and white and they are made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester and have a crisp feel to them.
They are standard sized pillowcases with a huge flap to one side to secure you pillow in and I have huge thick pillows and these fit snugly on those and in fact any of pillows I own.
What you get is a mainly white pillowcase and one side is completely white and that white is bright and then half way up the pillow you get two thick bands running down the pillowcase of your chosen colour. Like I stated earlier I went for the terracota colour so in my case I got two different blocks of terracota shades on mine. The coloured section is what is reffered to as pintuck which means each block of colour is tucked into the main pillowcase to give soft ridges and folds and those sections have a slight sheen to them.
Easy to wash as they are machine washable I find these to be soft and comfortable and to give me no issues washing or drying them (you are not meant to tumble dry these but I personally do on a low heat) and although slightly more expensive than what I normally buy they are full of quality and are unusual in design and what is more co-ordinating products are available from K & co for the bedroom too!
Only available from K & Co.
Summary: Nice!
