      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      So so

When it comes to the bedding I put on my bed I really ever usually go for the same styles. I like either very plain bedding or highly floral and girly and I thanks to catalogues that have sales on often I really do own plenty of bedding thankfully!

So why would I buy this in such a bright colour then? Simple really! I fancied something a little more outrageous and bright at the time for my bed and at £7.50 for a double set instead of £10.00 (the single is also available with one pillow case at £5.00 instead of £7.50 at the moment) I opted to have it sent from K&co (www.k&co.com) as they offer free delivery and returns anyway.

      The Set Itself:

Well as I previously mentioned I ordered this in the double set which comprises one duvet cover and 2 pillowcases.

Made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester the lot is fully machine washable, suitable for tumble driers and safe to iron and although I have done that to this often I have no shrinkage though the black on the set has faded somewhat even on a low heat in the washing machine.

What you get is with both the duvet cover and pillowcase(s) black to one side covered in red, white, yellow grey and blue skulls and crossbones, some outlined with a white colour to stand out and all the colours are in primary colours to make them really stand out. The other side of the duvet cover is a dark, rich turquoise and plain so this is a totally reversible set.

The material is rather thick so looks decent quality and feels like cotton so is smooth but still lightweight enough. The duvet cover does up via large clear buttons to the bottom of it which do up rather easily and the pillowcase(s) are rather large in size and fit even the largest of fluffy pillows and are simply to slip on secure via a large flap to one side of them.

However although this is a nice enough set, particularly for a children's bedroom I am not happy with the fading effect through washing that this gets. The plain side of the set is perfectly fine and I do appreciate having two bed sets in one theoretically but the reason this is a cheap bed set is because it is a cheap looking item after just a few washes.

Not a bad set for the money but not one I would choose for quality really!

      Only available from K&co.
