My son is a massive Lego fan and so when I was searching for some new bedding for him and came across the Lego Batman bang single panel duvet set I knew that it would be a big hit with him. I purchased the bed set from Littlewoods where it cost me £27 and it is still available for that price online there. You can purchase the set from amazon for the slightly lower price of £21.29 and this does include free delivery.
The bed set came packed much like all other duvet sets do in a plastic pack in which it is packed tightly. Even through the pack the product looked good quality and I was hoping this would be the case as we have had a few issues with poorly made bed sets in the past which have ended up in the bin. When I removed the product from the packet I have to say whilst it wasn't the softest material I had ever felt it certainly felt a lot better than some other bed sets we have had and I think this is down to the fact that it is main from 50% cotton and 50% polyester as it seems to be the polyester ones that cause me the most problems.
The duvet cover fit on to my son's duvet really well and I was pleased with how it filled all the corners and seemed like it would stay in place as well. Once on the bed I have to say the duvet cover and pillow case combined looked fantastic and that is an adult talking so my son was even more over the moon when he came home and saw it on his bed!
The actual design of the set features a black pillowcase with the batman logo in yellow which is simple to look at but really cool for a child as well. The duvet cover is again black but features brightly coloured lego characters including Batman, Robin and the Joker with a toy gun with "bang" coming out of it. The colours of the characters really stand out against the black background and look really vibrant and fun. A nice touch is on the other side of the cover there are smaller characters and so really you could have the cover any way round you wanted but my son does prefer the main big picture. What I like about the set is that I really do think it will last my son many years as it is not something he is likely to grow out of quickly and let's face it....many grown men still love Batman!
I have washed the bed set a few times since we got it as my son loves it to be on his bed. In fact if I was given a chicken every time he asked I would have a lot of eggs! I have to say it washes well on a normal 40 degree wash and keeps its colour really well as it is not showing any signs of fading at all. I would recommend using some fabric conditioner when you wash it otherwise it can feel a bit hard when it first comes out of the wash though.
I can genuinely really recommend this product because it is really good quality and whilst it isn't the cheapest duvet set on the market I think you are getting a good product for the price and something that will last a good few years in my opinion.
