      Duvet

      Tesco value duvet

Little miss often has sleepovers and so we were in need of a spare single duvet.
I spotted this on the tesco website, www.tesco.com and costing £10 with free delivery to my local tesco store, it seemed excellent value. It is also available in store along with several other bedding items in the value range.

This is a single duvet and is the standard size for a single duvet, so duvet covers fit neatly and snugly without the duvet rolling up inside or there being any extra duvet cover where the duvet hasn't quite fit.
It' has a tog rating of 13.5, so presumably will be good for the winter months. The cover is made of 100% polypropylene and the filling is 100% polyester. while we usually have feather duvets just for comfort and personal preference this has a great advantage in that it is machine washable at 40 degrees. I have washed it once and because its a single duvet it does fit into a standard washing machine. It looks very soggy when taken out and because it can't be tumble dried the best way to dry it is to lie it flat; I did this on a drier over the bath. It takes some time to dry so best not to wash it in the winter. I found the best way to fully dry and air it was to hand it over the banister at the top of the stairs.
When I first took the duvet out of the packaging, and because it was relatively cheap, I did expect it to feel thinner than other duvets we have. I was however pleasant,y surprised. The duvet is white in colour and feels nice and fluffy and thick. When a duvet cover is put onto it, again it doesn't look like its covering a value duvet because it does look cosy and fluffs up nicely on the bed.

Again, on the warmth factor, there seems to be no reduction in the warmth and even in the cold weather we have had recently, visitors haven't complained ( they may be being polite!) and said they feel cold. It is also light when lying under it, so very comfortable.

      WHAT I THINK...

I think this is a great duvet. It's great quality and I would say the same had it been more expensive. I would buy from this range again and am definitely a bit of a convert to duvets which can be washed and which don't shed feathers.

Excellent value and quality duvet; recommended.
      Thanks for reading
