... could argue that these colours are often recognised as a symbol of tackiness or indeed desperation. We had dry cider and further inspection of the small print revealed this was Oakstone Dry Cider. This is described as "A clear amber coloured, dry cider with a fruity medium dry taste."

Feeling the pinch a bit since being made redundant my fella and I have been trying the more wallet-friendly range of goods which various supermarkets have to offer, namely the own brand items. From Asda this happens to be the Smart Price range. I realised I had converted my other half to this thrifty way of thinking when he made the announcement "Love, I'm going to buy a bottle of that Asda Cider." His way of thinking was it was so cheap that if it was no good then it would not be a lot of money wasted and maybe it could be used in a recipe or, if it was that bad, a slug repellent or something.
