When it comes to alcoholic beverages the Highlands of Scotland are synonymous with whiskey production. It is not famous for its beer making. Scotland's brewing capitals were Edinburgh and Alloa However there is a new kid on the block that might change all that. Atlas set up in 2002, is a small brewery based in Kinlochleven, a small village high up on the West Highland Way. I was looking for specifically Scottish beers on a trip home to Dumfries so selected a bottle of Atlas's traditional Scottish Ale, Three Sisters.
