I never used to really like Cider, but that was when it was all about traditional cider, home brewed and old fashioned. A couple of years ago Cider came back around, with the explosion of Magners and Bulmers, much newer brands have come into favour recently, one such being Brothers.

Like I said, I didn't really like cider, but then I started drinking Jacques as that didn't taste like cider to me, and I really liked the fruitiness of it. Because of that someone else recommended Brothers to me. I noticed they did a wide range of flavours, from Strawberry to tutti fruity, and apple and pear, so quite a few to chose from. I know if you buy them in a pub they are around £3-£4 a bottle but if you by them in a supermarket they are only a couple of pounds a bottle. When added to ice, they make up a pint glass. So you get more volume for your money than a spirit and mixer, although the whole pint glass things puts me off a bit as I prefer to appear to be a dainty girl!

I tried the strawberry and tutti fruity flavours. As with the Jacques the cider taste is quite well disguised, although not quite so much. The drinks are fizzy and very fruity, so they live up the flavoured name they are named after. However the taste is quite artificial and much more like loads of random E numbers and other made up ingredients have been added, whereas the jacques cider tastes much more genuinely fruity.

I like drinking a glass of this as it is very refreshing and just tastes a bit different. i can never drink it fast as it makes me feel quite bloated, so I only drink it when I have time to be at a leisurely pace, and I really can't handle more than one pint before feeling sick, so pace yourselves, if you want a Brothers night!
