Advantages: Simple, honest generic easy to drink lager

Disadvantages: No quirks apart from not having any

This is the the the lightest lager to currently drink on the market, as well as being one of the most popular and cheapest. In one way you can drink this like water because its brewing and low alchohol content make it the perfect option for anyone wanting to become a mellow drunk without any unusual side effects.

The taste is also fairly tepid and smooth, in one sense you could say that this is the most generic option out there to drink, almost like a default setting for anyone who just wants to be a happy drunk. Although this might sound like a criticism its not, too many lagers have an unusual taste, but its nice to know that there is one drink you can always rely on, its like a universal option for everyone. Everybody has their own favourite lager but I have not known anybody who likes a drink to reject a Carling. If ever you are throwing a party and want the diplomatic option, but don't want your guests to turn into crazed vampires halfway through the party, "Dusk till Dawn" style then buy a few crates of this, you won't be disappointed.

To me this is is like water to a drinker, a basic elemental like milk or bread. A word of warning though, if you are one of those brave souls who decides to stick with this all night, then be ready with a sleeping bag and an apology speech to the hosts of the party for falling asleep on the stairs with a smile on your face.

Summary: Perfect for partys.
