Advantages: Tastes nice, refreshing cold
Disadvantages: Costs more than normal lagers
A lot of people these days like to indulge in a glass of wine in the evening. I'm not one of these people as I'm not a lover of wine, instead I indulge in a can of lager, classy right? I don't have any preferred brands but usually buy one of a handful of brands. One of these brands being Carlsberg Export.
Carlsberg Export comes in bottles, cans and can be found on tap in a lot of pubs, bars and clubs. I prefer drinking from a can so that's the way I normally buy it. Export is a little more expensive than normal Carlsberg, I usually buy lager in crates as works out cheaper than buying four cans at a time. This usually costs around £15 for a crate of 18 cans.
Most lager lovers prefer drinking their lagers from a glass but as far as I'm concerned, just makes more washing up so I prefer drinking mine straight from the can from the fridge. The lager has a bubbly nature to it and I find it does make me quite windy. It has a refreshing taste to it when it's served cold, this doesn't seem to be there if I take a can straight out of the cupboard so I always have mine straight from the fridge now. A lot of lagers taste similar but I think Export has a nice crisp taste to it and it doesn't leave any kind of after taste so can be drank as a starter on a night out and you can carry on to other drinks without having to taste it all night. I also find that if I do mix my drinks I normally suffer bad hangovers but using this as one of the drinks doesn't make it as bad for some reason.
The lager has an ABV of 4.8% so a little higher than normal lagers, by around 1%. This may not sound like a lot but I find myself getting merry quicker than what I do with normal lagers so it's definitely worth remembering so you don't drink too much before it hits you!
I'd definitely recommend Carlsberg Export if you are a fan of lager. It may be a little bit more expensive than normal lagers but the taste is lovely and refreshing when it's served cold. I wouldn't drink this at room temperature as it isn't as nice. It's a nice lager to indulge in if you're not a wine person.
Summary: A nice lager
