The Co-operative Truly Irresistible Gold Miner Ale 500ml, 5.0% abv. I am slowly working my way through the Coops ale range. There are 4 brews featured ,a brown ale brewed for them by Thwaites and three others brewed by a brewery called Free Miner based in Glaaaaster! (never heard of them to be honest) Gold Miner is the first that I have tried and the initial signs are good. It's a light golden ale and has a muted bitterness. Those of you who like a big flavoured beer should probably look elsewhere. However I had a couple of these to accompany a red hot Chicken Jalfrezi and, served cold, it did the trick.
