Advantages: Lovely taste, attractive bottle, nice and sweet without being artificial
Disadvantages: Not as nice as the pear variety
I have to admit that I like a drink or two (or ten) and enjoy a wide range of drinks from wine to whisky to woo woos. I do usually drink non-sweet drinks such as gin and tonic and wine (I abhor sweet wine) but occasionally I'm in the mood for something a bit on the sweeter side. When this happens I often choose a Kopparberg cider as I like their fruity yet light taste and find them much nicer to drink than other ciders. I used to only drink the original pear cider but then grew to also like the other flavours such as mixed fruit when they came out, and now I have become a fan of the apple variety.
== Kopparberg Ciders ==
Kopparberg is a Swedish cider company, which makes fruit ciders that are much sweeter than average. They have pear, mixed fruit, strawberry and lime, elderflower and lime and now this apple flavoured cider. The pear and mixed fruit varieties are also available alcohol free, which is good if you like the flavour but are trying to cut down on your alcohol intake. They are best drank with ice and in pubs and bars they are usually served in a pint glass filled half way with ice. The bottles are made of green glass and are very attractive looking and are neither manly or girly, so I doubt either gender would be put off drinking this.

This is one of the Kopparberg flavours that I've just become familiar with. It's not as widely available in pubs as the pear and mixed fruit ones so it's a bit of a rarity to find it and therefore I haven't had it all that many times. On the occasions that I have had it, however, I've found it to be a really nice drink and a nice alternative to the other Kopparberg flavours. It does have a very similar taste to the pear cider (as similar as real pears and apples) but with a nice different edge to it. It does have a noticeable apple flavour and tastes more like the fruit than many other 'apple flavoured' things do. It's still a sweet drink but like the other Kopparberg ciders, it isn't overly sweet and doesn't taste artificial. It tastes lovely and refreshing with ice and it's easy to drink a pint bottle of it rather quickly if you're hot and thirsty, although its fizziness will slow you down a bit. I usually find that after one of these, or any other Kopparberg cider, I found that I've had enough and that my sweet craving has been satisfied and then will usually go onto another drink, but if you were so inclined, it is nice to enough to continue drinking all night.
== Conclusion ==
This is a lovely apple cider which has a sweet and refreshing taste. I have to say that I do prefer the pear version to this, but that isn't to say that it isn't a very nice drink. It's not very widely available in bars or in supermarkets, but if you manage to get it, it will cost about £2.00 for a 500ml bottle in a supermarket and a bit more in a pub. I would say that it's worth it for such a nice drink that does last a decent while.
Summary: A nice apple cider
