      Silly name but good drink

Okocim Ok, is the newest of the Okocim range as far as I'm aware and the name of it proves that they ran out of ideas! Fortunately like Englebert Humperdinck, the name has not effected the quality.

At 6.3% this beer fits in nicely between the regular Okocim lager and the Okocim Mocne which is a bit too sickily. On a 500ml brown bottle there's a white label with O.K. Beer Okocim, some additional information, an emblem and a girl in a traditional Polish outfit, the canned version is even more hectic and looks like a square in Calcutta. So far the beer sucks on design and name but it's actually really good!

Poured, it's an ideal golden colour with a safe amount of carbonation and a thick white head, looks like the beer in the movies! The head stays throughout the majority of the drink and this is surely a great sign. The smell is like freshly cut grass but this one won't effect your hay fever, with a smooth, grainy taste which seems to combine bitter and sour tastes perfectly so that you are not wincing, I definitely recommend picking up this beer. It's a very good pale ale.

This beer is becoming more widely available thanks to Carlsberg's distribution.
