Schofferhofer dunkles Hefeweizen is an awkwardly sounding German dark beer of a relatively light alcohol content. While 5.0% is fairly standard, it's rare you'll find a dark beer with such a low alcohol content in mainland Europe with the exception of Germany and Czech Republic. The bottle has a distinctly German look to it with an almost medieval looking font, the mandatory 3 medals at the top and the frayed label, scratched bottle effect that seems to characterise the outline of the label on so many a German bottle - perhaps something to do with recycling the bottle!
