Stella Artois Cidre
Advantages: Great sweet taste
A bit of a cider head myself I finally took the plunge and decided to try Stella's new cidre, at first i couldn't be bothered due to silly pricing however it can now be purchased for 4 cans for £3 or a crate of 6 pint bottles for only £6.50 which is fairly reasonable in today's environment.
First thing to note is that the bottle is a little weird, the top of it is rather fat and unnatractive if you ask me, making it a less comfy bottle to hold i find. The general packaging too does not suit the drink, it makes it feel a bit bleak and as if is going to be a flavorless dry cider whereas this is not the fact of the matter. I had been told it was a "really dry cider and it's gross" by someone i knew which made me a little apprehensive of it, after sniffing it i felt that she may be accurate, i was wrong. The taste of cidre instantly hit the spot on my taste buds, the flavor is quite similar to that of Bulmers but sweeter, i would go as far as to say it tastes identical too Bulmers but has sweeteners added. Almost like Pepsi and Pepsi max. I think that anyone who prefers sweeter ciders and less dry cider like Bulmers will definitely like this.
I would definitely recommend this cider to people, this is most probably among my top favorite ciders now, throw out any misconceptions that you may have because Stella makes lager, this is a great drink and really is overlooked.
Summary: New favorite cider
