Advantages: Tastes great.
Disadvantages: None!
Jacques fruit cider comes in a variety of bottles, but it is quite hard to track down a small one, so I always end up drinking large amounts-oppps! In a pub a bottle costs about £6 or in the supermarket it is a few pounds cheaper. It is very good value for money as you get a lot in a bottle. Jacques fruit cider is around 5.5% alcohol per volume.
The bottles are clear glass with a traditional label. Jacques cider is made by Strongbow. You can get two types. Fruit, which is a purpley colour. Or a lighter grape one which is a yellowy colour. The consistency is the same as water, not thick or sticky or creamy.
I don't normally like the taste of cider, there is something about the alcohol taste of it I don't really like, but with Jacques it doesn't have that traditional cider taste and tastes much more fruity and refreshing. To be honest it is a bit tricking as it doesn't taste like you are drinking alcohol at all, and I fond it quite hard to get drunk on it as the fizziness tends to make me bloated before I can feel drunk.
I really really like the taste of this, and if you fancy a fruity, fizzy alcoholic drink that doesn't really taste like alcohol, yet isn't full of chemicals like some alcopops then you should try this!
Summary: Surely this isn't really cider?!
