Both my girls wanted a bike for there birthday last month. Jess wanted a scooby doo bike she loves the program on tv she had seen the bike in a shop window in town.
The bike cost £85.00. We got the window display bike so it was already built up but looking at the instructions looks pretty simple even comes with a key to tighten the bolts and needed to put the handle bars and seat up and down. The bike is bright pink and has lots of scooby doo images on the metal frame. The handles have pink rubber grips and a brake leaver although jess has not grasped why she has to use it and currently putting her feet down and scuffing the shoes.
We got a free bell that sits beside the handle bars. There is even a plastic chain guard to hide the chain this is also covered in scooby doo graphics.
The bike is an ideal first bike as it has the stabilizers on them, these can be taken off with the tool key but we are not at this stage yet. Jess can manage this bike fine and seems confident riding it. We have the seat and bars down at the lowest setting so it will last jess a good few years. It seams strong sturdy and time will tell if it will last but it is a solid steal frame so i would have thought so.
I recommend buying the scooby doo safety helmet these can be bought in halfords for under £10.00 and they even check the fit of the hemet before buying.
This is definitely a good first bike and riding on the bike will help improve there confidence for going to the next stage up.
I highly recommend the scooby doo bike .
