“ Brand: Brabantia / Product TypeKitchen bin „
When we moved into our flat we had quite a few bits and pieces that were given to us by family to get us started and now we're properly settled in we've started to replace these items. Until recently we had just a bog standard plastic white bin which did the job it's supposed to but as we've got our kitchen quite modern it didn't fit in at all. I recently had a decent payment from a cashback website which I chose to receive in Amazon vouchers and after buying a few treats I decided to get something practical as well. I settled on buying a new kitchen bin and picked out the Brabantia Slim line 20l Pedal Bin which was quite pricey at just under £50 but was exactly what I wanted. The bin is available slightly cheaper elsewhere but as I was paying with vouchers I had to buy from Amazon.
The 20 litre bin is a slim line design which is perfect as space is quite tight in our kitchen, it stands at 66cm tall and is 25cm in diameter so it doesn't take up much space at all. The bin is stylishly designed with an all over matt steel finish which I've found doesn't mark as easy as stainless steel with things like fingerprints and is really easy to wipe over when cleaning without the need to polish it up. The inside of the bin holds a metal bucket where you put your rubbish which is handy as this can be removed for easy cleaning. The black pedal is at the bottom of the bin and is a decent size which makes it easy to use. Some pedal bins I've used before have been temperamental and seem to work when they feel like it but with this bin the pedal works every time with no problems.
The bin has a couple of features which I can't say I'd ever felt the need for before but they do make a difference. The bin lid is soft close so it doesn't make that awful clanging noise as the lid slams shut and just behind the lid there's a handle which makes the light weight bin even easier to move around. The bin also has 'odour proof' closing, I'm not sure how this works but there are no nasty smells coming from the bin even when it's open. The bin comes with 20 bin liners which are especially made by Brabantia for the 20 litre bin. They fit perfectly on the inner bucket and don't leave any overhang on the outside of the bin which would spoil the look. The bin liners can be bought separately for about a fiver which is a bit too expensive for bin bags in my opinion, even if they're good.
Overall, the Brabantia Slim line 20l Pedal Bin is a good buy, it's quite expensive but with a 10 year guarantee included it will last. The bin fits into a small space perfectly and looks good, as well as being very light and easy to empty. A good bin if you're tight on space or not, it doesn't let any bad odours escape and is really easy to keep clean- a good buy.
Elegant and functional the extra tall 20L Slimline Pedal Bin is ideal for use in the kitchen living room or catering establishments. Don't worry about nasty smells the whisper lid ensures odour-free closing. The lid remains open if opened manually or closes itself with pedal operation and there's a sturdy removable inner bucket. The body and lid are made of corrosion-resistant steel while there's a protective plastic base to care for your floor. Comes with a ten-year manufacturer's guarantee.
