Advantages: Very compact and easy to carry

Disadvantages: None that I have found

When I bought these binoculars on Amazon for £31.00 they looked in the picture the same as the ones in the Dooyoo picture however they are not as green in real life, I expected them to look rather army camoglage style however the reality is that the green is a lot more subtle and darker.

These are great binoculars for hiking as they are very light to carry and can fit comfortably into a jacket pocket. They come with a fitted neck cord which is rather thin. I thought that this would make them uncomfortable to wear for any length of time hanging from my neck however that is not the case because they are so light. They weigh 314g which mkaes them light and small however you are not made to compromise on performance. They come with a canvas case with a belt loop and a lens cloth.

It has a 10x25 magnification with coated lenses, they are waterproof and fogproof however I have not tested the former and do not intend to on purpose. They have a rubber coating to help grip and on the top of either side of the binoculars there is a dimpled effect and also a rippled effect on the side to help with grip.

I did find it took a little while to get them fully adjusted to my sight, the instructions are clear however it sort of requires you to close one eye as you do a lens at a time and this is something I cannot do, however after a bit of fiddling about I got it sorted. According to the instructions they have a maximum range of a 1000 metres and a pretty good field of view. I have found them to be great while walking in the Lakes and while I would say they are purely recreational binoculars, i.e. not suited for bird watching, I have taken them on a safari holiday and they were perfectly good enough to spot all of the big animals and also pick out smaller monkies in the tree line.

These are a well made set from a brand that you can trust, they come with a limited lifetime warranty however I have no idea whether that is actually worth anything. Given the relatively low price a replacement pair would not break the bank if they did break.

Summary: Great compact binocular
