      Very helpful

Excellent value for money. Worthwhile for the beginner.

Looking for my first pair of binoculars I obviously used all the resources available to me online. I trawled through various astronomy websites and asked friends and family of their experiences (which were few and far between I must say!). Finding the binoculars I had my eye on, I searched the huge resource of google and tracked down a pair for around £90 which included a case.

These binoculars weigh 870g and have a field of view of between 114m and 1000m which was sufficient for my use. I often go for a day at the races (horse racing) and love to have a walk by the river and so they are ideal for getting a good view of birds and general wildlife. I dont have a wide knowledge of binoculars and am by no means an expert so am limited in not only how good this product compares to others, but what information I should include.

The binoculars feel well made and are, surprise surprise - black! They have pentax written down both 'shoulders' of the binoculars and the cups that your eyes see through are comfortable and I find that even with glasses they are reasonably easy to use. The roller to adjust focus and right-hand eye-piece adjustment are easy to reach and the main focus wheel in particular is chunky enough for fine and accurate adjustments.

The case is rather unsubstantial for protecting the binoculars and although I find increasingly that 'gadgets' in general come without cases at all, they could have done to be more substantial in their build.
