      Getting to know the real Katie Price.

      I inherited this book from my sister when she was having a clear out before moving house, and never one to walk past a book, I thought I would read it. I am not particularly a fan or a hater of Katie Price, or Jordan as she is more commonly known as. Over the years I have had a vague idea of what is going on in her life, as she is often in the papers for personal and professional reasons, so I thought that it would be interesting to hear her side of the story.

      She is someone who didn't appeal to me much until she became a mother. Watching her with her young son Harvey who is quite disabled really brought it home to me that she is quite normal really, and instead of shying away from things that are hard she chooses to knuckle down and get on with it. She does have an attitude that is quite admirable. I might not like all of her antics in the papers, but I do think she is a good mother.

      This book covers quite a long period of her life, but it is not that up to date, so more hard core fans might prefer the 2 autobiographies she has written since this one. No longer do people wait till the end of their career before recording their memoirs, but I guess Katie has lived quite a packed life so there is a lot in it.

      We follow her here from childhood, how she broke into glamour modelling, her views on her breast implants and through several high profile relationships such as with Another Level singer Dane Bowers, Pop Idol Gareth Gates, and also the father of her son, footballer Dwight Yorke. We are treated to all that happened in her life up to her appearance in the TV show I am a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here in 2004, where she met Peter Andre for the first time, and it rather abrubtly finishes before they start their relationship. The cynic in me knows why this was done, to maximise profit in selling her next autobiography.

      The book follows the format of every other celebrity autobiography I have read. There are chapters covering major events we know about from the press from the celebrities view, with a few candid family portraits interspersed. Because Jordan is a model, we also then get a few of her professional pictures, some of which feature her topless.

      This was quite easy reading. There were 34 chapters of large type, which were very quick to read through. I have to say, a lot of it I found quite repetitive. There is quite graphic information about her sex life down to her thoughts on the size and performance of her partners, and some of it did feel rather bitchy.

      I preferred most reading about her work, her surgery, her pregnancy and how she dealt with being a single mum and her reaction to finding out about her son's disability. Here you can see more of her redeemable personality traits such as her focus and determination.

      Jordan is a character I can definitely leave, but there is something about Katie that is kind of sweet and very vulnerable, and quite likeable.

      She is a very canny lady, so I can see that this along with her fly on the wall TV shows are designed to get the public feeling rather sympathetic towards her. The style of this is like you are having a sordid chat with your best mate over a few glasses of wine.

      If you have seen any of the stories in the press about this lady, you will probably enjoy seeing her side of it, and it was interesting as a point of nostalgia looking behind some of the newspaper headlines to find out some more of the details.

      Lover her or hate her, this is an interesting book, and has a wide appeal.

        Pure pleasure!

        Is there anything Katie Price cant do? At the tender age of 34 she has become one of Britains most successful business woman, she has had a string of very successful: reality tv shows, perfumes, books, fashion lines, bed linen, equestrian ranges, false tan and many more products.

        In the first installment of her autobiography, she talks about her life growing up without a father, an experience with a paedophile, losing her virginity at the age of 16 with a bad-boy, leaving school with no GCSE's or qualifications, the launch of her page 3 career, the launch of her glamour modelling career, her steamy flings with celebrities such as Gareth Gates and her heartbreak over her split with Dane Bowers then giving birth to her first child and disabled son Harvey without any help or financial support from his father, footballer Dwight Yorke.

        This book leads up to just after she leaves 'I'm A Celebrity!...Get Me Out Of Here' and leaves us with the story of her love for then husband Peter Andre.

        This book is a real page turner and will have you hooked from the start, its the best autobiography I have ever read and if you wanted some steamy secrets welcome to 'Being Jordan' the sensational tell-all autobiography from Katie Price. It gets you straight in the mind of Katie as she shows off her soft and vulnerable side.

        A perfect holiday read, if you dont own this book, you're missing out!

        An excellent account of Katie Price's life, written in her own words

        I had never had liked Jordan, or as she now likes to be known, Katie Price. Call me jealous, but I just wasn't the sort of person to be a fan of glamour models who sold kiss and tells at every opportunity.
        However, after reading her first autobiography, I could not have more respect for the lady.

        She timed the release of this autobiography well; right after she left the jungle in 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' where she had shown the English public that she wasn't just some busty, thick glamour model. She has proved herself to be courageous and very down to earth, and not afraid to be shown without her make up on!

        She tells of her hard work and determination to become a top glamour model and doesn't sugar coat it; she reveals all about a near miss with a paedophile and conveys the darker side of glamour modelling. Through her own words, Katie shares her life as a single mum and her heartbreaking relationships, particularly the famous one with footballer Dwight Yorke in which her gorgeous son Harvey was conceived. She speaks of her battle with her son's blindness and getting the right diagnosis for all his health and learning difficulties, and her own fight with cancer. Included are details of her relationships with Gareth Gates, Ace of Gladiators fame, plus her early loves.

        Katie presents herself as a horse- loving, down to earth girl, who happens to make a living working as a glamour model. She has no airs and graces about her, and we learn that as long as she has a jacket potato in her dressing room, she's a pussy cat!

        A well written, saddening at times but with laughs a plenty, this autobiography is one of my favourites that I have read again and again.

        I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Katie: the woman behind Jordan.

          An easygoing book that is full of surprises, but might better better entitled "Dating Jordan"!!

          I'm not usually that interested in celebrity autobiographies, or celebrities in general to be honest. I'm not even a fan of Jordan / Katie Price, but I couldn't resist this book for the chance of reading a bit of gossip. I had quite high expectations of the level of detail and level of "juicy-ness" of the gossip! The paper back version of this book costs RRP £7.99, but there are plenty of copies selling on the Amazon marketplace starting from just 1p plus postage + packing. I picked up my copy in a charity shop for just 50p.

          Description: "This book needs no introduction. The hardback edition was the hottest seller of 2004. WH Smith cited it as the record holder for most copies of an autobiography sold in one week. In fact it has turned out to be the surprise darling of the book trade! Now, at last, the paperback edition is available and Katie has brought it right up-to-date with full details of her love for Peter, their new life together, their engagement and their impending wedding. She also reveals the projects she has been working on and what the future holds for her career. No book buyer will want to miss out on the next instalment of Katie's life - so fasten your seatbelts for another rollercoaster ride."

          Jordan is a celebrity model that has taken her career to the extreme. With constant TV documentaries following the movements of her life, becoming and "author", and putting her name to any product that she can get her hands on including perfume, styling products and even an iPod! There is currently a big media flurry over the break up of Jordan's latest marriage, but this book is quite out of date now with how quickly the celebrity world moves. Being Jordan was Katie Price's first autobiography, but to date she has now clocked up the impressive total of four autobiographical books.

          Because Jordan attracts so much attention from the media she is constantly in the spotlight, especially from gossip magazines and tabloid papers. When reading this book it seemed more like she was using it for an opportunity to clarify rumours and stories that may have been inaccurate, rather than actual detailing the journey she has travelled through her life so far. This wasn't really what I was expecting, I had imagined something a bit more standard such as the story of her upbringing and information about how she got started in her career and how she got her big breaks.

          There are many references made to other celebrities and lots of name dropping. The book is almost entirely focused on Price's string of boyfriends and lovers, and sometimes gives a level of detail that feels somewhat uncomfortable. She really delves into her emotions and writes about some incredibly personal and intimate situations (and not just all about her sex life!). Jordan gives us her side of her involvement with many high profile men including Ralf Schumacher, Dane Bowers, Hunter from Gladiators(!), and even Gareth Gates. Even though the cover of the book states "includes the story of my love for Peter", he is left right til the very end of the book and there are a mere 8 pages covering this (at the time) new relationship.

          There have been some traumatic circumstances resulting from bad choices and maybe even naivety and Price does not seem ashamed to verbally bare all and share the darker times as well as the good. There are plenty of shocking topics covered in the book that you might think he would want to keep private, but Price really does seem to reveal all. She covers relationship issues, abortion, parenting, the effect of the press upon her life... There does seem to be a great deal of genuine emotion and it is quite incredible how some people can go through that many bad experiences. There are some things such as her cancer scare that I had never even heard about before. Price is really up-front about everything, and although some may have their doubts I think she has managed to present herself in quite a good light. She can come across as bitchy or strung out, but equally she seems quite down to earth and focused most of the time. I really like the tone that comes across in the writing, it's very light and conversational and it makes it very easy to see where she is coming from.

          Jordan is a larger than life character but this book doesn't give much of an insight into her professional life and career. It would have been nice to read more about the differences between plain old Katie Price, and the transformation she undertakes when playing the role of glamour model Jordan. If you want to know the background of her love life then this is an enlightening book, but it wasn't revealing in any areas other than her romantic involvements. This book is a quick and easy read that you can breeze through without applying any brain power, but not something that I got a great deal of pleasure from reading.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            not worth buying unless you're a real Jordan fan or love reading about the sex lives of others

            My boyfriend bought me this book as a joke christmas present - he knows I have absolutely no interest in Jordan/Katie Price. That said as he bought it I was going to read it, otherwise it would just have been a waste of money.

            I only started reading it yesterday and I've already finished it - it's not exactly a challenging read and the writing style is very simple. My paperback copy is 316 pages long with several sections of photographs from Jordans life - I have to say that I found the photos the most interesting part and her earlier modelling photos showed she was much more attractive before the fake boobs (even so it was her decision to have implants and I'm not going to knock her for that decision.

            When reading the book Katie/Jordan seems to say that she wants to clear up the myths and lies that have been spread about her which is all well and good, but to me it seems more like she is using it as a chance to slag off all the people who have ever wronged her (saying Victoria Beckhams boobs are definately fake as she's seen them, detailing her sex life with exs and who has a bent/small penis etc) - I think all this does is show she is no better than they are, she should have taken the high ground.

            From the start I found the things she wrote and the attitiude she took really rubbed me up the wrong way. Early on she talks about an experience she had when starting modelling with a 'photographer' who turned out to be a paedophile - of course this is a terrible thing, however she says something along the lines of 'his studio was in his house and that should have been a warning sign...' erm no there are plenty of legitimate and good photographers who have home studios. I'm a professional photographer and this really got my back up as what she says can well influence a lot of young girls who will read her book and now think that all photographers who shoot at home are perverts or paedophiles!

            Another thing that annoyed me was that I lost count of the number of times she wrote 'I don't usually do this but...' in reference to having a boyfriend but finding someone else and getting together with them so that the two relationships overlapped (these aren't the only contradictions that crop up in the book). Not to mention that before her son Harvey she had been pregnant two times before and her pregnancy with Harvey was also a mistake - is she that stupid that she can accidentally get pregnant that many times? Learn from your mistakes! Take extra precautions if you're incapable of remembering to take your pill!

            Maybe I should stop ranting now...

            Of course this book was published some years ago now and her life has moved on significantly - the books starts and ends with her gushing about her love for Peter Andre and how he's 'the one', well that one back fired didn't it! I do feel sorry for her that she doesn't seem capable of holding down a proper relationship, but if you read the book I think you'll see that although she doesn't necessarily pick the best men to begin with, she certainly doesn't help the situation with the way she acts.

            One thing I can say in her favour is that even though this book is simply written, I don't get the feeling that she's stupid - infact I think she's probably quite intelligent, she's certainly a good business woman and knows how to publicise herself to get the maximum return.

            Overall this book reads to me like a kiss and tell even though I'm sure she would strongly deny it was such. There is only a small section of the book about her life before modelling and the rest seems to revolve around people who have wronged her in some way and shooting them down. Despite this it still feels like she's holding back - she's willing to lay bare what she thinks of everyone else, but it feels as though she's keeping alot of the personal stuff to herself which seems a bit pointless when you're writing an autobiography.

            I didn't care about Jordan before reading this book and I don't care about her now - the only thing that's changed is I'm worried about the warped and narrow view of modelling and photography that she is portraying to impressionable young minds and although she has made alot of money she is certainly not a role model that any child should aspire to (I have no problems with nude modelling, it's the other aspects of her life).

            Fans of Jordan/Katie would probably enjoy this book but don't expect some fascinating insight into her life - everything she writes about tends to be things that have already been talked about in the press, just with added bits (mainly the kiss and tell). If you're not a particular fan of hers then I'd give it a miss (unless you love reading about the sex life of random people) as it's not a particularly exciting or engaging read.

            At the moment this book can be purchased from the works for £1.99, the RRP is £7.99.

              Disadvantages

              don't read if you're not a katie price fan!

              This is probably the worst autobiography that I have ever read - it's just so boring and it drags on forever! Personally, I don't like Katie Price at all.
              Being Jordan aka Katie Price writes about her life of glamour modeling, relationships, reality TV and her love life with singer Peter Andre (whom she was married to and is now divorced!)
              I found this book in a charity shop after I saw an offer on books - three for a pound and there wasn't really much books in that bargain that day but i found this one and see if it is a good read or not. So the day after I bought it I began reading, at first I thought it was OK, so I carried on reading and as I was reading
              one chapter: being born
              next chapter : childhood
              next chapter : first relationship
              next chapter : modeling
              chapter after that : 2nd relationship
              again, another relationship, another chapter, and another and another and it goes on forever. So in the end I got so bored I gave up about half way through the book!
              Personally, I will never read any of Katie Price's autobiography's again! In this book she talks about nothing interesting except her life of relationships! I thought 'No one cares! You don't need to tell the world how many relationships you've had! People are more interested how you got into modeling and show business!' This proves that not all celebrities have amazing and interesting lives.
              This book may be good if you are a Katie Price fan, but this is not a book for anyone who is not a Katie Price fan! As i am not one I'm giving this book two out of five stars

              A great read and a real page turner!

              I wasn't very old when I begged my parents to buy me this book for Christmas, I do not even remember why I wanted it or if I even knew who Jordan was! It was a random moment!
              But on Christmas day I received this book and wow I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this autobiography. It was a real page turner!
              Jordan as she was known by back then really let the readers into her life; some things are highly personal and make extremely sensitive reading. Jordan goes deeply into her modelling career and how hard it was and the types of people she met along the way. Jordan really met some bad characters that abused a young girl and her mum's trust!
              From early on in Katie Price's life it was clear she wanted to model, she was determined to get there no matter what! Katie has a huge list of ex lovers and boyfriends; she really shows the men she dated in a real light some of them you would never has associated her with. She tells you about her page 3 career, her friends and enemies, her photo shoots as well as some great chances she got in life like going to the playboy mansion and even being offered a chance to be a playboy bunny and stay at the mansion!
              Jordan explains the heartache she went through with finding out about Harvey's health and bringing up as a single mum, she was even voted mum of the year! Jordan tells you some real great stories from her past and what she plans for the future, such as her I'm a celebrity appearance in which we all know she found love with Peter Andre.
              Every word on every page is truly great and inspiring, whether you love her or hate her this is not an autobiography to be missed! This is clear from the fact that this autobiography sold more copies in one week than any other in 2004! Showing just how popular she really was!
              Whatever your opinion of Jordan is this is one autobiography not to be missed!

                Read It

                Katie Price. The girl we all love to hate, but we cant deny she is incerdibly entertaining and has had an amazing life filled with wild adventures and a brillaint career. So this is the first autobiography Katie wrote and there has been a good three more since then all telling us of the inside story of what her life is really like, the girl behind the camera's and big boobs.
                Dont judge a book by its author!

                What Is The Book About:
                The book starts right from the beginning of her life and even goes into detail about the pyhsical abuse the she suffered as a child and of course her dreams to one day become a top model! It tells us how she rose to fame and became the girl we know as "Jordan", her relationships during that time the good the bad and the downright ugly, and I have to say she does go into quite a lot of detail about the size of their huh hum's and their various techniques in bed! It ends with her meeting the then love of her life Peter Andre and leaves them when they are expecting their first child Junior. Entertaining Read.

                What I Thought Of The Book:
                I thought it was very entertaining. I am a big fan of Katie's and thought this book was a brilliant and funny insight into her life, even the things she might not be so proud of now. People should not judge this book by the author and whatever your opinions on Katie you will find this book enjoyable.
                10/10 Well Worth A Read!

                Worth a read!

                I quite often like to settle down with a book and of late my chosen titles tend to be autobiographies and the latest of those is the offering by Katie price (Jordan) entitled being Jordan.

                Now I as most people have a very preconceived image of Jordan in my mind and I am sure this book was meant to change that but I am not sure that it ever did.

                This book takes you through her life from a young teenager right up to the "I`m A Celebrity" appearance. She talks of her many partners and the rough treatment she suffered at their hands. It would appear that they all loved the thought of being with a glamour model but couldn't live with the line of work she had to do.

                It tells her story of being only 13 and doing her first photo shoot with a guy that turned out to be a Paedophile and how this nearly stopped her from pursuing her dream.

                It also tells us that the Jordan persona is only an act that she (Katie Price) turns on to keep up her glamour image but for me the sex tapes she made and her conduct when younger and first making it big would suggest that this in fact was the real Katie Price or Jordan (call her what you like) only now she has grown up and regrets it she is trying to make us believe it was all an act.

                The book makes for interesting reading but how close it comes to telling the truth about the girl i am unsure, there is no doubt she has been through a lot but I feel many and much of it was of her own doing and at the end of the day she has made it big from it all.

                I would suggest this is a good read for anyone into either Jordan, autobiographies or both and it can be purchased at a very low price these days or of course you could get it from your local library because it is probably not a book you will want to read more than once.

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  A highly addictive read which is packed full of stories and excitement.

                  'Being Jordan' is written by Katie Price who is a celebrity mother of three & married to Peter Andre.

                  This book aims for Katie to explain what it is like to be 'Jordan' who is her alter-ego and the person that she claims to be when she is being a topless model or hosting a chat-show etc.

                  The book is very well written and gives a great insight in to the early life of Katie as well as when she first met her husband Peter Andre on 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' Katie is not ashamed of her life and will tell you things about herself that a lot of people would definitely want to keep to themselves. There are quite a few touching subjects spoken about in this book such as distressing incidents that happened to her when she was younger and talking about the birth of her first son Harvey and the tragic events that unfolded that have changed both of their lives forever.

                  I have read this book a couple of times and it is a very interesting read. I am a fan of Katie Prices' anyway and thoroughly enjoyed being able to learn more about her earlier years and what really happened when she met her husband as well as her past relationships. Katie is very frank and talks very openly and honestly about things that have gone on in her life and her relationships with Gareth Gates & Dwight Yorke and how she felt when those ended.

                  This really is a warts & all book and I find it very hard to put down once I got started but at least each chapter was in a manageable size so it was fairly easy to just read to the end of the next chapter if I really needed to get a job done in the house or just go to sleep!

                  This book is currently available on Amazon.co.uk for £4.99.

                  I would definitely recommend this book if you are a fan of Katie Price or just want to know more about her life story. I am rating this book 4/5, I have knocked one star off because I did feel that she gave a little bit too much graphic detail with certain aspects of the book.

                    A good read

                    If you've never really like Jordan then you should give this book a go, as I myself wasn't exactly her biggest fan but I was away on holiday and was bored around the pool and so my friend said I could borrow the book.

                    The book is written by Katie Price about her superego Jordan and what it's like being that person. She talks about her relationships honestly and openly although I do sometimes feel she jumps from being Katire Price one minute to Jordan the next when she speaks about her sex life with them! What I most admired about Katie Price though is the struggle she had had when she talks about her son Harvey who has a lot of disabilities and this is when I began to warm towards her as you see she is like most other moms out there just wanting the best for her children.

                    The book is simple to read and understand which is great as on holiday the last thing I wanted to be doing was straining my brain!

                    It's an ideal book for girls as I don't think too many lads will want to read it.

                    I think if you want to see a little deeper into the person that is Jordan then you should give this book a read as you may be surprised what you find out.

                      Katie Price - Being Jordan

                      I remember first hearing about Jordan and not particularly liking the sound of her. For some reason when I saw this book I decided to give it a go and read her autobiography. I admit that I completely changed my view of her and now really like her.

                      The book I purchased was a hard back and I read it cover to cover in about 4 days, I was completely hooked and shocked as I had nothing else to read for the rest of my holiday.

                      The book shown Jordan in a completely different light - this being 'Katie Price'. Many of the people I speak to about Jordan say they do not like Jordan and like Katie Price. This is quite a clever thing that Katie has done. I am a fan of both Katie and Jordan however I think the book displays Jordan's behavior as well as Katie Price but from Katie Price's view.

                      Within the book Katie speaks of her relationships, her life and many other things that you wont have actually realized about Katie Price.

                      The book is simple to read and does not contain many large words which could be difficult to read. The book contains some swearing.

                      You can buy this book for around 3 pounds in soft back, and a little bit more for hard back.

                      A great book to take on holiday. Definitely a book for the girls, especially those who might be interested in a career alike Jordan's career.

                        Disadvantages

                        A good read.

                        Being a fan of autobiographies and recently joining the online library readitswapit.co.uk I was longing to get hold of this book and find out who the real person is Katie as she claims she really is or is her personality more of Jordan's?

                        Many people talk about Katie Price in the form of Jordan making out how vile she is for being a Glamour model at such a young age and making offensive comments, I on the other hand wanted to know what made Katie Price become someone like Jordan and had her past created this character that appeared to be so confident and bolshy that no man ever dare hurt her??

                        Until 3 years ago I was ignorant to who Katie Price was and had only heard about her Jordan persona from a then boyfriend who kept going on about this gorgeous blonde he had seen at the Max Power Road show, but even then all I knew was that she was a Glamour Model and there were lots of those about so why was Jordan any different?
                        Now I can associate Katie Price with her underwear and swimwear range in Asda, her writing skills for books such as Angel and Crystal and of course her pink wedding to her true love Peter Andre but how did she change from being just a Glamour Model and what's more how did she get to where she is today? Being Jordan is the insight into all the stories that have ever been written about her and the story about her life her ups and downs and mistakes that have left her with much sadness.

                        *~*About Katie*~*
                        Katie Infield was born in Brighton, East Sussex on May 22nd 1978 she changed her name to Katie Price when her mother remarried Paul Price.

                        For those of you that have watched the documentaries you will see that Katie is close to her mum, Amy like most daughters are with their mother and from very early on Katie was closer to her mother than her father who made her early years somewhat unstable with regular disappearing acts, Katie was very close to her older brother Daniel who was the doting older brother that always looked out for her but after many years her parents eventually separated and at the age of 9 her mother remarried and gave Daniel and Katie a younger sister Sophie who is now looking to follow in the footsteps of her older sister.

                        *~*This is Why*~*
                        The book begins with an introduction as to why Katie felt she had to right a biography at such a young age after all she is only 3 years older than me at 28 exactly how much did she have to right about? As I began to read the first few pages I had a feeling that I was not going to enjoy reading this book it seemed to revolve around revenge, getting revenge on those that had betrayed her, making sure people, people she didn't know knew the truth about the stories that had been portrayed in the media and about the media ruining her life with kiss and tell stories.

                        As we learn about Katie's disappearing father and the men that she meets on her way to stardom I began to realize that Katie was just like me, I mean everyone dreams of becoming famous, however after reading this book I would be having second thoughts if I had just become a teenager.
                        Katie dreamed of being a model and her mum backed her dreams ensuring that Katie had modeling classes and even paid for a photographer to take shots of her both Katie and her mother trusted the photographer but it was this very photographer that Katie had learned she had to look after herself right from the beginning.

                        Jordan was created when she finally got the break that she had been looking for to be a page 3 model for the Sun newspaper, she had finally done it, she was able to leave shy Katie behind and became Jordan, confident and sexy.
                        Although this was her big break, Katie never made lots of money in the early days and she soon has to learn who she really can trust stories started to be sold about her in the newspaper and many opportunities for romance were ruined before they could be started through media stories and people raking up the past.

                        A lover of horses Katie had always dreamed of owning a horse and it was through horses that she met her first love Jeff, he was older than her and by getting involved with him Katie started to go her own way and stop listening to her mother's words of wisdom she got involved with someone and this resulted in her loosing out on good qualifications and having to take a job as a care assistant to make ends meet and she was seriously disillusioned if she thought she was in love with him.
                        Each chapter seems to detail a relationship she was in at the time as she progressed though her career and even though she may deny it as you read each chapter and realize that by thinking she was in love with her current boyfriend she was seriously getting walked all over and though that the best way to keep her man was to give him anything he wanted and they probably led to the names that she has been called. It appeared that Katie was very rarely single moving into one relationship from another.

                        As Katie became more famous she was linked to Teddy Sheringham, Ralf Schumacher, Dane Bowers, Dwight Yorke and many more and in the book she details the pain and the joy of being in a celebrity relationship and spills the beans on what really went on.

                        It was at this time where she first experienced the wrath of the media when she had confided in a friend that she was going on a date with Teddy Sheringham a story was sold to the media and Teddy wanted nothing more to do with Katie, she was devastated, she genuinely liked Teddy and someone had betrayed her trust, a friend who she had confided in had sold the details to the media and ruined Katie's chance of happiness with Teddy and now we will never know what would have become of that relationship if they hadn't interfered it could have completely changed Katie's life and what was to come.

                        Katie Price's career as Jordan was certainly developing and she became a pit girl along with Emma Noble and Melinda Messenger for Eddie Jordan's Formula 1 team, this was a fantastic job if I do say so myself and Katie got to travel all around the world with the F1 team and it was here she met Ralf Schumacher, engaged to Warren aka Gladiator "Ace", Ralf had taken Katie's eye and it is clear that cracks were starting to appear in her relationship with Warren and I start to wonder if this was wishful thinking, maybe she had committed to Warren to early I mean she was still very, very young.

                        As Jordan was becoming ever popular in the lads magazines and there was an increased demand for glamour shots, Katie decided to up it a level and have her first boob job, everyone had advised against it but Katie being Katie she just wanted to have it done even more!
                        It proved to be the right decision for Jordan as she gained more lucrative contracts but inevitably with every new contract she lost some old contracts as the Sun no longer wanted to feature models with silicone implants and Jordan was dropped from the Sun.

                        When Katie met Dane Bowers it looked like she was finally in a relationship that would be on an equal level, Dane was in the boyband Another Level and were still in the fairly early stages of their career which Katie recognized and she found herself in a real loving relationship, they wanted to spend every single minute together and when they were apart it killed them, I could instantly relate to this and could imagine how in love with Dane she was and how special their relationship was.

                        One thing about this book is you do not know exact timeframes, I have no idea how long Katie actually dated her boyfriends, there is a brief reference to the month and the year but no timescales so as far as I know each relationship could have lasted a few months.

                        As I was half way into the book I couldn't believe that so far Katie's life had revolved around men using her to make a quick buck and hurting her to make them feel better, I was so shocked that someone with a persona such as Jordan would allow this to happen, but then again when you are in love you become a different person and let people walk all over you without even realizing but the loving relationship with Dane that I had been reading about suddenly took a turn for the worse he had split from the band and become jealous of Katie and hated what she did for a living and started to spit out nasty comments to Katie and try to make her feel bad about how she made money.
                        Katie on the other hand started to defend herself, she had worked hard for this why should she give it all up?
                        Ralf was also back in contact with her and she didn't know what to do, I personally think that she was swayed by the lifestyle that Ralf lead and in comparison to Dane Bowers, Ralf seemed the safe option but us women we follow our hearts and it appeared that Dane Bowers had certainly captured Katie Price's heart.
                        As a pattern seems to be emerging as I move from one chapter to another, her relationship ends with Dane…..badly. Katie is devastated, here I really feel for her she was truly in love, a little confused at first but she was definitely in love with Dane and he had just stopped being in love with her and it is at this point where I saw two separate people Katie Price and Jordan move into one character.

                        The book is a good read and really sets the story straight about her relationships with Dane Bowers and Dwight Yorke in particular and makes you understand why she is so defensive and why she put up with their bad behaviour towards her.

                        We learn how she copes with the devastating news that her son Harvey is blind and has to have injections to help with his growth and how she discovers she has cancer it really is a case of bad luck rearing it ugly head at Katie Price will she ever get a break?

                        For anyone that has not read this book I would definitely suggest a read, you may not like Jordan but Katie is really a down to earth character who is after stability and a loving relationship and at the end of my book we are introduced to the one person that can make that happen, Peter Andre.

                        I feel that the book is well written and certainly sets the cat among the pigeon when she tells the truth about her sex life and her relationships and just what it took for her to become famous. No-one deserves to be treated the way that she was by some of the men she has encountered in her path, and yes I know that there are many other people out there that have been treated even worse, but after reading this book I will never ever believe what the media print, you just don't know if what your reading is lies or someone trying to make a quick buck out of someone who has genuinely worked hard to get where they are only to have it ruined by an ex lover or so called friend and they are the people that I pity.

                          A good read to get to know this lovely person in her own words.

                          I could never really kind of make my mind up about Katie Price (AKA Jordan). I liked her but then I would read something stupid or totally outragous that made me think...Jordan, what are you doing! Celebrity was a winner for her and to follow on with her book was fantastic. Yes, it shows that when you read the real story from the person herself you then have a change of heart to what you read in the tabloids. She has out up with quite a bit and I'm sure everyone at some point can relate to her past experiences. A great time to release the book and a very good read. It's honest, to the point and funny! Well recommended to get to know this lovely person through her own story.

                            A insight into the person behind the fame.

                            I was not a fan of Jordan, but after seeing a completely different side to her whilst in “I’m a celebrity get me out of here”, I was slightly intrigued to read her book, especially as she made a hinting remark to Lord Brocket about a certain football captain.

                            On its first day of publishing I went to Bargain Books and was told they had completely sold the 600 copies that were ordered! WHSMITH too had sold out! My only option was to go to www.amazon.co.uk and wait for stocks. Two weeks later my copy arrived priced at £11.99. Smiths were selling it for £18.99, slight difference eh!

                            From the moment this copy arrived I couldn’t put it down, it was a compelling read from cover to cover. The cover pictures of her on a glamour shoot are quite impressive; she is really an attractive girl. Why she didn’t leave her boobs alone is beyond me but its’ her life and her money.

                            Here’s a brief description of Katie Prices life story so far:
                            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                            Brighton belle Katie had a hard life, she wasn’t born into money and she knew exactly what living on hard times meant. Ray Infield, her biological father left the family when Katie’s brother Daniel was born. They were childhood sweethearts but he wasn’t marriage material and didn’t last the course. He returned to the marital home after a separation but left again. He still saw his children but seemed to favour Katie’s brother and their relationship drifted off.
                            Amy, Katie’s Mother went onto marry Katie’s stepfather, Paul Price, hence the new surname. They have been together ever since.
                            Katie always wanted to be a model and admits herself she was never cut out to be a brain surgeon. Considering she was only 18 when she bought her first house, that is an achievement many kids that age don’t even consider, yet alone manage to complete.
                            From the age of 11 she pursued many modelling contracts. Unfortunately one of her assignments was with a paedophile couple. Being naive she didn’t find out until a while later of their real intentions but managed to get out before anything sinister occurred.
                            Katie went onto have a relationship with an older man called Jeff who did nothing but abuse her both mentally and physically, at the time she was only 15. On her 16th birthday she slept with him, nothing earth shattering but she thought it would make him love her not hurt her anymore. She describes the sex as being nothing pleasurable, he just rolled on and rolled off, reminds me of a cross channel ferry.
                            Jeff went onto to do time at her Majesty’s pleasure for non-payment of fines, still Katie stuck with him. Everyone, including Katie’s mum Amy tried to stop her seeing him, but still she stayed. By this time Katie had actually moved in with him. Sex was becoming more and more weird and sadistic, but as he was her first, she thought it was quite normal.
                            Unfortunately for her, she became pregnant with his child and she didn’t want it. Her mum told her she had to “get rid” of it and it was when Jeff punched her in the stomach that made her realise she didn’t want to continue with this baby. An abortion was immanent. I feel for that poor unwanted child.
                            Whilst building her modelling career, she worked in a nursing home to supplement her income. She also bought her first horse and is by all standards an accomplished rider. At the same time she met another man called Gary, this proved to be another disaster.
                            Katie was spotted by the Sun and was asked to do a page 3 shoot, as one of the models couldn’t make it. This was her chance and she took it. Her fascination with the sunned began and it was followed by plastic surgery. Sam Bond became her agent and Beverley Goodway her photographer.
                            As her relationship with Gary went from bad to worse, her intuition told her he was being unfaithful. She claims to she hatched a plan to prove his infidelity by arranging with her best pal at the time, a threesome. Secretly she hoped that Gary would refrain from getting involved. Infact it was the opposite and after her “mate” gave Gary some lip action on his under carriage, that Katie who was watching, finally came to the conclusion he was no good and that was the end of him.
                            As her career progressed she began mixing with more celebrities. More relationships followed and she became intimate with a gladiator or two.
                            She started to see Teddy Sherringham. He wanted it kept secret but when The Sun caught wind of their relationship, he finished it between them. She describes their sex life but nothing with malice, she seemed to enjoy his technique!
                            Then came a detailed affair and one that surprised me, Ralf Schumacher! Katie spent many a weekend flying over to Ralf’s place but never having sex. Instead he never made a move on her and though they slept in bed together, that’s all it was, just sleep. She thought it was very odd and as time went on, she became very frustrated. Hence the affair with Dane Bowers started, whilst still seeing Ralf.
                            Ralf treated her like a princess and she couldn’t see that he was just simply saving himself. Out of all her conquests, this man seemed to be the only decent genuine guy to cross her path but she blew it. I wont give too much away but guaranteed you will feel very sorry for this F1 racing driver who wanted to settle down in marital bliss.
                            Now with Dane Bowers, Katie, or Jordan as she was now known as, she describes the sex life as mind blowing even though his tackle wasn’t that large. Oh yes she goes into sizes like she’s buying a pound of Walls Bangers. It’s quite comical really. Dane did the dirty on her and after a considerable amount of time, they too fizzled out.
                            Next came Dwight Yorke, apparently this guy was rubbish in the knocking shop department, only wanting to please himself. I found myself giggling through out this book. His biggest conquest was sleeping with a page 3 girl but he treated her like a second rate hooker. As we all know, she became pregnant and received zero support from Harvey’s father. Dwight even made his son take a DNA test to prove he was his. Jordan never forgave him for this, even though she was still sleeping with Dane Bowers through out her pregnancy.
                            Through out her life, it’s her mum that supported her and her stepfather Paul. The men in her life came and went, apart from Harvey. Harvey has many illnesses, as if being blind isn’t enough for the little chap to live with. He will need care and attention for the rest of his life and so far Jordan has shown herself in the book to be a devoted mum.
                            She goes on to tell more about her work, her adventure with Hugh Heffner and his playboy mansion. This man makes me feel physically sick and how she could bring herself to stay there is beyond me. Of course he wanted her to become one of his “bunnies” but she actually declined. Shame, I wonder what her description of Hugh Heffner in bed would be like?
                            Her referral to Gareth Gates is quite amusing, he was intact before he met Jordan, and of course she had him too. From what she writes, it appears it’s his embarrassment at being found out to be sleeping with her that made him finish their relationship. They only slept together in top-secret conditions, but the tabloids found it out and that was that! Goodnight and goodbye.
                            The book finishes with the loved up story of Peter Andre, the chapter she calls “Return of the Pop Idol”. She declares her love for him and goes on to say she wants his babies. Yeah, Yeah whatever. Not sure if its true to word, I would be surprised if this one makes it to the end, but we shall see.
                            To sum this book up, it’s hilarious in sections, lots of kiss and tell, mainly about the sizes and technique’s of certain manhoods. Even if the celebs are rich they can still be useless in bed. You also won’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand the storyline but it’s worth a read. I was hoping to find something juicy about David Beckham but it’s quite disappointing really. I wont say what it is he did to her, but it made Victoria start to dislike Jordan. Before they were friends.
                            My only disappointment was there was no referral to Michael Greco – Beppe in eastenders. There were rumours she slept with him too once but she didn’t even mention his name. Now that’s one man I would like to know his inside leg measurement off. HHMMM – very edible.
                            It’s worth the money if you want a light hearted read and as it’s littered with pictures, it’s interesting to see just how she has re-invented herself and her chest! Jordan is very down to earth and though she’s had her fair share of knockers (sorry couldn’t help that), she comes across as very likeable but with the morals of an alley cat.
                            I hope I didn’t give too much away in this review, I would hate to spoil the story line.
                            Thanks for reading.
                            P.S: This book is available almost everywhere, but prices do vary. I found Amazon to be the best for prices.
