“ Genre: Biography / Author: Britney Spears, Lynne Spears / Paperback / 144 Pages / Book is published 2000-08-17 by Hodder & Stoughton Ltd „
I have always loved reading biographies, especially celebrity ones. Over the years I have read many many celebrity biographies; I enjoy 'getting to know a celebrity'. One of the biographies I own is a Britney Spears one.
Heart To Heart is an autobiography style book written by Britney Spears and her mother Lynne. The book was released in the United Kingdom in 2000 and so is quite old now. You can buy your copy from Amazon for just 1p which I think is amazing value for money.
In this book Britney and her mother Lynne tell the story of Britney's rise to fame; including lots of childhood and family stories as well as some personal photograhs.
Despite the fact that this book is outdated now, I still enjoy reading it now, even though I know what happened after the book. I found the book to be really interesting, the kind of book which you could read over and over again.
I thought that it was interesting that Britney had wrote a book with her mum. You can tell that they are very close and so down to earth. They are just like any other normal family, and when they speak about Britney's success, they are not big headed at all which is good, as you would expect them to be.
Although I thought that the book was interesting because it included her mum, I would have liked if it had been about her family and Britney (her mum, dad, brother and sister) and then we could have seen how their lives have changed and what they think of Britney's success. In a way it does seem a little strange why it was just her mum and not her dad in this book.
There are some great photographs in this book. What's great is the fact that the majority of them are personal ones and so they are ones which havn't been seen before. It really felt as though they were showing you the family album.
I enjoyed reading the stories about her childhood as you knew that they were real as well as being interesting and funny. A lot of stories printed about Britney are all 'fake', so it was nice to read something that you could actually believe. Also, the stories in this book were ones that you hadn't heard before.
I enjoyed reading all of the different quotes from her family and friends. It was interesting to see what the people she knows had to say about her rather than what some paparazzi person who doesn't even know has to say. The book is so personal that you feel like they have invited you to their family home.
I thought that Britney came across as being a really lovely person in this book; so smart, funny, friendly, honest and sweet. She really treats you like a friend rather than a reader. I couldn't believe how mature she was at just eighteen years old.
This is definetely a fan must-have, although I think that you will still enjoy this book even if you aren't a huge Britney fan. It is a truly inspiring story which makes you want to grab hold of your dreams and make them come true!
Like I said before, this book is outdated but yet I still find it interesting even though I have read it lots of times since it was released. It gives a good insight into Britney's background and once you start reading you won't be able to put it down.
Thanks for reading!

Before I start, I'd like to say that I honestly quite like Britney Spears and her music. But, this book will bore the socks off you, even if you are a die hard Britney fan. Everyone knew Britney's story on how she grew up before this was published, because she always repeated the same things in her interviews. For an extra bit of money, Lynne Spears and her daughter decided to write a totally exagerated story on how Britney was like as a little girl. Sorry love but it's a bit early for an autobiography! There are a few nice pics thrown in so you don't totally loose interest, but apart from that, there's nothing we didn't already know. There's no confirming or denying the rumours made about her, and there's very little about her relationship with Justin Timberlake. Not to mention that this book was published nearly two years ago, so there's nothing about her second or third album or world tour(s). If you like boring, typical "american dream" stories, you'll adore this mythical pile of junk. And, if you think this is bad, I strongly don't recommend reading Britney and Lynnes most recent fictional book!
This book is written by Britney and her mum, Lynne Spears. It is about how Britney Spears went from being a poor girl from a small town in Louisiana to being a multi millionaire. It's about all the problems they went through and how at one point, they couldn't even afford to pay the bills! Heart To Heart is a great book for all Britney fans or for mothers. There are many unseen pictures of Britney as a child and her family. It was actualy written by her and her mum but they were at different places when they wrote it so there is a paragraph or so by Britney and then a paragraph or so by her mum on each page. This book is very interesting and shows that anyone can get from being no one to being a world wide famous music artist.
Britney and her mother tell the story of her phenonemal success, the troubles she has faced and the ways in which she has coped with them.
