Advantages: A great light, happy read
Disadvantages: May make you hungry
Like his first book “A Year in Provence” and second “Toujours Provence” Peter Mayle seems to perfectly capture the essence of life in Provence and keeps you drooling all the while with this book that ends this trilogy. He has a true passion for his home away from home in France and you can feel the enthusiasm in his words. If you are a lover of food I would highly recommend this book! He explains, in great detail, just about every meal and it is fantastic. This book is geared a bit more to the hopeful visitor to Provence. He gives some very detailed information on a variety of villages and cities. Of coarse, names of restaurants are included along with some great tips where to go and what to see. I am a fan of Peter Mayle and was not disappointed with his latest bestseller!
