I have read a lot of torey haydens books and they are truly inspirational. Her books are based on, although undoubtedly heavily edited for privacy reasons, childrens stories she has encountered over her years as a trained educational psychologist and teacher. They show how she helps disturbed kids overcome their problems, and she specialises in selective mutism, a psychological disorder where kids physically able to do so, do not speak at all in some situations. Ghost girl details a girl, Jadie, who ends up in her classroom, who never speaks at all, doesnt laugh, cry or make any noise.
