At the time I read it, I had a friend with the disease, a good friend whose mother was going through it, and another whose sister had been treated the year before. ~One woman, one lump, one ebook~ 'The Glass Half Full: A Breast Cancer Blog Revisited' by Elizabeth Glasson is one woman's account of her experience with breast cancer, told through the medium of both the blog entries she made as she was going through her treatment and then boosted with her reflections looking back five years later. I don't think it's ever explicitly stated but my assumption was that the blog entries were in normal typeface and the reflections were in italicised text.
