We’ve just returned from visiting Wrexham Science Festival with our daughter, and very good it was too. It’s the biggest Science Festival in the UK with loads going on, lots of practical demonstrations and all the usual suspects as far as ‘science’ personalities are concerned - David Bellamy, Fred Dibnah, The Science Sisters, Dr.Bunhead, Bill Oddie etc. However, all this was put into shade by our meeting with Uri Geller, someone who has fascinated me since I first saw him on television thirty years ago bending spoons and stopping clocks. Who really knows what the hell is going on with Uri Gellar.Hes an obvious magician with the confidence of a good looking Israeli, but yet how the hell does he do that stuff. I mean know one else can do it anywhere near as good as him. I thought I would read up on the guy out of curiosity and see what the hell is going on here. Although the book is listed as a biog., Jonathon Margolis who has done tons of similar projects, you get the feeling that Gellar was pulling the strings here to further this extroidanary charisma and legend.
